If I recall right, wasnt the monday one a leaderboard and you played people to move up and down it? beat them and you took their spot? so different format, will be included alright so that the history of it is documented. could still be around in 100yrs! :p longest BR rugby competition in the world!

Nah, that was some other makey up event that came along in season 12 or so.

I have the "Almost There Award" trophy for season 7. I think that was the equivalent to the div 2 win. There were only 3 trophies if I recall. The "Can Try Harder" and the "Boards Cup" possibly.

If I remember there were group games and the top spot went into the main knockout cup, the second placed teams the almost there award and the 3rd places went into the can try harder.

eoferrall the one your thinking of was organised through the clubrooms although the idea was talked about on here all right.

Congrats to champions Dread0s, 2nd placed Rath Rugby Club and 3rd placed Fingal Physicians who all finished with silverware.

Further congrats to Dread0s and Rath as they will be plying their trade in div III next season.

The top two were already set in stone coming into the last week So congrats to the the champions Ladyboys and 2nd place Wandering Wanderers who both will be one step closer to the top table next season.

Big final day drama saw 3rd versus 4th in a showdown for the 3rd place trophy where Yermen overcame Front Row Fairies to move up into the trophy spot. Congrats Yermen.

And even more drama at the bottom where the bottom side Kilsough played 6th placed Newcastle west. Kilsough needed a bonus point win while denying Newcastle west a bonus point of their own........ and Kilsough South Warriors pulled it out of the bag!

Commiserations to Newcastle West and Westside who despite both being alive for the last came of the season will be playing their rugby in div IV next season.

Ah yes, that's the one! I knew there wasn't a division as such, but couldn't quite remember how it was done.
    What a funtastic system :)
