Youre not very specific there. What is your diet like now? As for recovery some people take protein in some shape or form.

A really good place to start is the 'Stickies' at the top of the forum. There is a bundle of excellent info there.
I'd stick to the simplist guidelines to begin with-meat, eggs, vegetables, fruit and then nuts sparingly and after I had that dialed down I'd look into counting kcals and having an awareness as to what I was eating.

As for recovery foods, once you're eating a good diet that's high in protein it's not that essential for most people to be overly conserved with food for recovery. What kind of exercise are you doing and for what duration?:)

If your main goal is weightloss, then I stick to what I said earlier:

    *Read the Stickies
*Eat Meat, eggs, veg, fruit and nuts/seeds sparingly
*Get 1g of protein per lb of bodyweight
*Sign up to the likes of myfitnesspal.com to track kcals.

If you're resting/sleeping enough, avoiding stress and eating heathily then recovery shouldn't really be an issue.

Alot of people don't consume adequate amounts of protein..so just make sure that you're meeting the 1g per lb of bodyweight guideline!
