Advice needed on EPG options

    Hi All,

    I have read through many threads trying to find an answer to this but could not find it. That’s not to say a thread does not exist as there is hundreds of threads on EPG etc., however I have seen that there is some real experts on these threads and the knowledge of Satellite options is really impressive so I'm hoping someone can help me.

    I am looking for a combo box (not a HTPC) that will do the following

    Decode free to air channels
    Decode Irish terrestrial channels
    Play DivX, Avi files for movies from a USB HD/key
    Record TV programs to a USB HD/key

    It looks like there is a lot boxes that can do this, however....
    All the ones I have seen so far have a 7 day EPG for the Irish terrestrial channels and only a now and next EPG for free to air.

    My question is, is there any combo box where the 7 day EPG is on the free to air channels?

    I would be fine with 7 day EPG for the free to air channels and now and next EPG for the Irish terrestrial channels as we rarely use them.

    Is there a combo box that can do this?

    Any help appreciated :)

    a vu+duo box may do it with some fiddling ,but wont be saorview approved though.

    A vu+duo may be out of my price range and the level of complexity i want to get into to, but thanks for comfirming that a 7 day EPG is on the free to air channels cant be done on by a combo box.

    Thats is probably the main feature I wanted to confirm.

    I think I will propable go down the Ariva route as suggested by STB and live with now and next for free to air.
