Microsoft Outlook not accepting contacts.

    Hi,

    Just having a problem with Microsoft Outlook and I'm wondering if anyone can lend me their expertise,

    Tried to send an email to a contact and a error message came up, saying Microsoft Outlook does not accept - "email addres@hotmail.com"
    tried to type it into the address book,
    no joy tried to add it in the add email section. doesn't give the option to save, when I finally do, and send a message,
    no message is recorded as sent, anyone know how I can fix this please?
