X Plane 10 - Veering left at take off - Rudder not working

Hi,

I use a Macbook Pro and no Joysticks: all in the keys and mouse.

When I go to settings, I see I can assign keys to basic controls. I have managed to use keys for throttle, flaps, ... This works.

However there are keys assigned to the rudder also but these have no effect whatsoever. When I push the throttle and switch off the breaks I am always veering left.

Anyone can suggest something?

Apply throttle slowly and smoothly, try not to slam it to the stops from flight idle.:)

I have read your article and indeed you need to apply rudder:

...This correction induces adverse yaw, which is corrected by moving or trimming the rudder (right rudder)...

My question is: how?

Sorry, I'm not an X-Plane user. I believe that full keyboard controls aren't (or at least weren't) available on newer versions of X-Plane. Might be worth investing in a joystick.

There is an issue with the game. Issue is fixed in Release 10.10 Beta 2

+1 I use X-Plane on an iMac, it's a totally different experience with a joystick. I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro which cost about €40, I picked it up from elara.ie in Park West.
