Tipp's experience to carry them over the line, but I don't expect to see Waterford taking a beating on they scale the suffered last year. Tipp by 4 - 6 points, although it looks like the weather will play a big part in this game. Looking forward to it.

Looking forward to 4pm. Few days in sport match the Munster Hurling Final. Can't really see anything but a Tipperary win, but hopeful Waterford can pull another great Munster final out of the bag.

    Up the Deise!

Its bucketing down in cork at the moment and looks like no let up. Will make for a scrappy match.

Tipp win the minor 1-16 to 1-12. Completely dominated the first half by all accounts after a bright start by Clare. Held off a mini second half revival to win.

Can anyone verify if the RTE website is down? Not just the live tv section, can't connect to any bit of it!

    Cliche alert.

Muster Hurling Final-unique Irish occasion that must be kept in the GAA calender.

The ground is about 2/3s full!!

Crazy decision to take pa Burke. Ryan will be in trouble if we lose here.

Baffling, Pa Bourke has been their best forward this year.

    Fantastic first 35 minutes hurling.

26,438 out of 43,500. Given that it's a rotten day in a ground that neither county wanted the match played in, it's not that bad.

Wonder how many would be in attendance if it was in Semple? Would it be an extra 5000? 3000?

O'Keefe really is a magnificent young keeper. Might well be the all star no.1 by the years end.

Made mistake there, should never have attacked it. That's experience though.

Standard of refs is shocking, 2 big goals in 2 games have come from pathetic descions.

    Who got the second goal?

As bad a decision it was, the ref hasnt favoured any team. Waterford should have cleared their lines before it too.

Shane Bourke, had just come on for O' Meara.

Waterford starting to panic and beat themselves now.

Ger Canning sounds like he lost a lot of money on that game ..when the final whistle went there was no excitement in his voice at all.

    Well done Tipperary deserved win.

Tipp forwards able to score too easy, Shane Bourke's goal and the missed frees were the crucial things. Bourke's goal was a terrible one to concede.

Tipp have better forwards and more players who are likely to score. They had 9 different scorers today. Waterford really relied to heavily on Mullane and to a lesser extent Shanahan for their scores. Once Cahill got on top of Mullane Waterford really started to struggle for scores.

Tipp had better subs off the bench also, who are all capable of making an impact on the game.

Defensively waterford played really well, but they are probably 1 midfielder and 3 forwards short of being an excellent team capable of winning an all ireland.

Very poor attendance. Must be 1 of the lowest ever for a munster final. We need LK and cork back quickly.

I think there was 30,000 there? I wouldn't call that poor. There was only something like 15,000 at the Munster Final replay in 2010. The stadium wasn't packed to the rafters but it was nicely filled around from what I saw.

26 thousand and a bit was the attendance. Poor alright, but not helped by the current economic situation in Waterford and the Munster Council refusing to move the game to a venue where both counties would have preferred - ie Thurles

On a side note...Tipp had 5 Mahers in their 26, anyone know if this is some sort of record?
