I've been researching this for a while and it seems that in order to get a six pack i must eat a diet a long the lines of 40 percent carbs, 40 percent protein and the remaining in fat. This seems like an awful amount of protein based on a 2000 calorie diet. For me to eat this amount of protein in a day would require me to eat the equivalent of 8 cans of tuna a day!! Is this right?

In order to have a six pack you need to have a low body fat %, otherwise you won't be able to see your abdominal muscles. A low bf% is obtained through a calorie deficit diet.

There are different ways of maintaining a calories deficit diet, but a high protein diet makes it easier as protein makes you feel fuller, so it's easier to consume less calories. It's also essential for building muscle.

Simple but effective - run up some hills and walk down the other side

To a degree. If you're eating a pizza after and and hydrating with coke it's not going to be effective.

Edit: Just saw the tattoo pic - awesome!

You can leave out the sit ups.

You need to get you bodyfat down to single digits, simple. Not easy though.
