Sorry if this has been done, but I was just thinking today that I don't like people smoking in the car, and it is almost a rule in my car that no rubbish or wrappers get left in the car, so do any of you folk have any rules in your car?

    No smoking in my car,
No banging of the doors, it's not a fecking fridge at your home.
No food ( drinks aloud )
My car, my music. No like? Tough ****, you can always walk.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,930 ✭✭✭✭challengemaster

Do not use the fecking pillarless glass on the door to close the door >.<

No mucky shoes, no food, no smoking, no scraping jewellery off the silver trim (mrs. MC I'm looking at you), no animals unless in the boot, no bags on the back seat, no leaving crap afterwards...

Ideally no passengers bar myself to be frank.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,828 ✭✭✭stimpson

You may ride in the back seats, but you must accept that you're just ballast.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,208 ✭✭✭keithclancy

    No singing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,000 ✭✭✭mitosis

    No food
    No food
    No food

I extend this rule to coffee/tea etc and apply it to myself.

No smoking should go without saying.

Children in and out the side away from the wall.

Oh, don't tell me how to drive.

    - No smoking - I applied this to myself when I used smoke
    - No food - it stinks the car up
    - No drinking
    - No drunk people
    - Do not sit on the bumper, wheel arches or lean against the car at all. On my first car, someone did this and scraped the driver's door with those studs you have on the corner of jean pockets.
    - Do not use the door glass to open/close the door. I'd rather not see greasy fingerprints on them.
    - If you have dog crap on your shoes, you'll be licking it off the mats
    - If you dont like Rammstein or Metallica, you probably wouldn't be in my car anyway but if you are and you turn it down or off, GTFO.
    - As MuppetCheck said, ideally no passengers bar myself
    - Sit in, seat belt on, shut the fvck up and hold on!

Naturally, mine would be the longest list :D

    No dirty shoes or clothes
No animals not even in the boot
No sitting on any part of the car exterior
No feet on seats or upholstery

Drinks are fair game imo, I don't even mind the lads drinking beer on the way into town for a night out, it never gets spilt.

I eat in the car myself (especially when hungover, you need your breakfast roll :D), I actually like sitting in the car listening to the radio while eating but I'm reluctant to let others as they don't take the care I do not to spill.

I clean and hover the car often so its usually very clean compared to the vast majority of cars I get into which are never cleaned. One of the lads said recently that he felt "uncomfortable" in my car because it was so clean and that he was dirtying it by just sitting in it :pac:

Fags and weed, glue and speed, but i draws the line at crack

I don't mind food or drink or smoking but I don't like people leaving rubbish in the car or bags on the back seats

I've had my car over 4 years now with a softclose boot, and the same people continue to bang it shut.

I may well have to bang their heads underneath it.

No objecting to me playing the first 3 songs of the Drive Soundtrack everytime I get into the car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,652 ✭✭✭fasttalkerchat

Getting a new car soon. Rules will be no smoking and no food and no one drives except me.
Before it was just no handbraking while moving and I control the radio.

I used to have rules then i became a taxi driver 5 years ago.

    Regular occurrences

    Smoking
    Eating
    Drinking
    Farting
Spitting (out the window to be fair)
Ahem (a male passanger once lost something inbetween his dates legs and went looking for it) only realised it when i asked for the money.
    People vomiting
Once cleaning out the car from dropping off in a halting site and there was blood all over the doors.
Countless umbrellas found, wallets, earrings, smokes, little blue tablets, even found a bra one nite.
Havent had a pisser or a ****ter but i know a few drivers who have.

Its no wonder that people have reservations about buying a ex taxi! :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,930 ✭✭✭GavMan

    no farting

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,875 ✭✭✭✭MugMugs

    No leaning on my car.

Also, a friend of mine thought it would be cool to run his finger over the bonnet of my car last week.

I'm still bollocking him off over that

    WHO DOES THAT !!!!

    Puking
Happened me twice. It's kind of weird, both of the times the person who done it was female. And when they got sick, they pissed themselves at the same time! WTF?!?

I had a regular a couple of years ago who had a serious drink problem and one day after I dropped him home I noticed a nice brown patch on the seat he left after him. The prick didn't even say anything. The next day, he shamelessly rings me to pick him up. I went down to collect him but first I stopped at my sister's house to borrow something. Anyway I arrive at the pub and just as Tommy is about to get in he picks a nappy up off the seat and gave me a guilty look. He then apologised.

Only I may touch the radio
    Belt up
No sleeping - if you expect me to drive for hours while you curl up with a hangover, you can at least entertain me with some conversation

Personally I prefer when they sleep. They're quiet that way and don't expect conversation.
