If you have an iPhone ,there is of course an app for that. Local surfwear brand Emerald has developed an app ,a surf guide, called Emerald surf guide.

    like sea weed?
I presume the OP is referring to sea weed because making/answering requests for illegal items/substances is against the Charter.

I'm a frequent visitor to Lahinch and it the first I heard of it.

Have you a link to support your claim?

Pilate, you really must stop flirting with me like this ;)

Now, we better get back on topic before we both receive a ban :)

That thread is three years old and it doesn't provide any evidence at all.

    well i saw one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

    lol :D That's okay so ;)

Seriously, I'd hate for Lahinch tourisim to be damaged by hearsay as it is a lovely spot - it's a surfer's paradise. I agree with some of the posters in the other thread though, people have a responsibility to use the dustbins or take their rubbish home with them.

^^^That may only make a small difference.Take Mutton Island for example,no people or rubbish yet its full of rats and huge ones at that.Always see them down on the rocks and since there's no people around you are likely to see more.Lahinch of course is busy so you are not going to see them out and about but fact is there would be hunderds if not thousands of them there.Id say the golf course would be a good nesting place.Piers in clare are full of them too and they like to scurry down the ropes to get some bait for a feed without any fear of falling into water.Im from the seaside so I can tell you the coast line is full of them.

Was in Lahinch today and it was stunning. Lovely walk on the beach, had some chips, life couldn't be better.
But Clare Co Co should work on their spelling::D;):p

Thanks a million for that link!

We sent our kids home to Ireland for a holiday and they rang me at work today from Lahinch.

It was really cool to see them live as we talked with the Atlantic in the background.

Just one more info on Lahinch:
The public toilets (or should I say Latrines) around the corner from Seaworld and across from the playground are pretty funky.
    Avoid at all costs.
