I've heard skipping is good. I have seen these wireless skipping ropes. There's a deal on one of those deal websites. Are they any good? For some reason, I couldn't ever get the hang on skipping. So im thinking of getting one of these since there's no rope.

Has anyone used them? Any good?

I just had to google that to double check you weren't taking the piss haha, seems to defeat the purpose of jumping a rope by not having a rope ?? Your missing out on some of the benefits of using an actual skipping rope such as hand eye co-ordination etc and I could see it getting boring very quick with no mental stimulation, what are your goals? You Can get a good workout at home with just bodyweight exercises no equipment required

I don't think skipping involves much hand eye co-ordination, its more rhythm.
But I agree it pretty much defeats the purpose.
If you can't skip then do something else, jog on the spot, jump about, what ever. But you don't need to hold two handles to achieve this.

    skipping is brilliant for fitness

buy a proper skipping rope and go at it - two feet, one foot, alternating feet

I incorporate skipping into my routine. It can take a while to get the hang of it. I got fairly decent at it from my younger boxing days when it was a staple part of the training.

Definitely buy a real rope though, Elverys have some decent ones. You want a light fast one. One of the most important things is getting the length right so you're not tripping over it or it’s not too short that you're having to crouch to use it!.

Start slow, alternating feet. Stay on your toes nice and light. It’s about finding a good rhythm at a comfortable speed.

I skip in bouts of 3 minutes.
    2 mins at regular speed
20 seconds at a faster pace
final 10 seconds as fast as you can
Then 30 seconds rest, and start again.

A few rounds of this will get the heart going.
Once you get good at it you can start adding in some backwards sets to mix things up a bit. This will test your concentration a lot.

Great advice,Discostuy.Took me a while to work this out for myself when I first incorporated skipping into my home workouts.I combined it with trampolining (mini trampoline or 'trampette' !) and have a similar plan to that above, followed by 5 minutes on trampoline then repeat for 20 minutes.

The only true test of elite fitness is one's ability yon repeatedly jump up and down and spin your hands really really fast.
