Can anyone recommend a dumbbells only programme - no bench whatsoever just the dumbbells.

Finding it tough to get to gym at the moment due to family commitments.

Have a set of York Fitness dumbbells in the house. Should be able to get some time to use them late at night.
Keep me ticking over until I get back to the gym proper.

    Thanks guys

Looking for a whole body program, or a split program?

    Is all you have are the bog standard bells;
    Bars x2
    5kg x4
    2.5kg x4
    1.25kg x4

That kind of set up? Or do you have a straight bar, more weights etc?

Just have the dumbbells exactly as you have described.

Sticking to upper body as resting lower body due to ongoing physio on hip.

Not looking for size really, just maintaining current definition if that makes sense.

SO would you need to be seated for most of your exercises or can you stand with the hip?

No no, can stand just fine. Just need to avoid the deep pelvic stuff for the moment.

There's a dumbbell step up which involves a fairly high step. This has me searching for a flat weight bench. can anyone recommend a decent one i could use for this exercise and also for bench presses etc.. not too expensive

    barbells?
    Why would you?
Everything in life is nearly done using one arm or leg - running, jumping, punching, lifting things, holding things

bench, alternating bench, pull over, flys, shoulder press, front raise, side raise, rear lateral raise, rows, one leg rows, curls, hammer curls, kick backs, triceps extension, chin ups, horizontal pull ups to name but a few
