How good do you think the OP's ears are to pinpoint a bang then the subsequent echo to a road?

Somebody else posted something about girls arriving back in work from their lunch and saying a road was blocked off. The post has since been deleted...

They are transporting seized cigarettes off to be destroyed.... That's the reliable info so far. Afraid of a Provo/armed attempt to get them back so heavy military presence.... Heard it was one of the biggest finds ever....

Moore street will be on drought alert now lol

    Maybe unrelated but..

2 fully loaded military birds just high-tailed it over Newbridge headed for Dublin,

not in the Baldonnel flightpath either.

I spotted what looked like a military helicopter over Tallaght at about half one today, generally not a usual sight in the skies around here so I thought it was odd.

Don't really know the dublin area but is there a barracks around the D2 area? I'm thinkin maybe there was some kind of improvised bomb found and the army were called in to detonate it?

If army are training in the area, maybe it was some jet breaking sound barrier? That's a loud booming sound isn't it?

What would they break the sound barrier with? Some sort of hammer?

The sound barrier would indeed use some sort of hammer to break jets.

induring its absolutely nothing at all. Just random lad 1 heard a bang from a construction site, random lad 2 saw a helicopter and assumed it was the army goin mad! and finally random lad 3's friend saw an ambulance with blue lights flashing parked on Tara street. Pile of ould biddies!
There might be something about it on tv3 news in a few minutes.
As if Irish news would ever report something on time. Give it at least 2 hours :pac:
