Sweden and Iceland did it in the nineteen-sixties. Samoa did it the opposite way in 2009. What was it?

Changed the side of the road on which they drove.

Name 3 countries wherein some part drives on the opposite side of the road from the majority?

British Indian Ocean Territory ( Diego Garcia.)
China ( Hong Kong and Macau.)
    USA ( Virgin Islands.)

P.S. also in very localised cases in various countries e.g. The Road of Death in Bolivia.
Some years ago, Capel Street Bridge in Dublin!

Sorry, I forgot Kerry. i've experienced it there, and during daytime too. I never saw anything like it.

I thought of Gibraltar, but it's not part of the UK.

Question: To which country were the inhabitants of Diego Garcia forcibly removed by the British government?

    Mauritius (?)

    Mauritius (?)

Correct. Off topic, if you are not aware of the manner in which the USA and UK governments bullied and blackguarded the inhabitants of BIOT/Diego Garcia, I would suggest that you do some googling,

Is it not a British Overseas Territory?

Good point about Diego Garcia and how the UK and US exiled the inhabitants.

I think that deal is up for renewal soon as the 50 years agreed at the time ends in 2016.

Some colonial habits die hard, how about Tony Abbott declaring that there was nothing but bush in Australia before the Brits arrived, and him with a Jesuit education, as far as I know!

What is the link between the National Holiday of Mauritius and President Obama's last Presidential victory?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭piuswal

Maybe should have said Presidential campaign instead of victory!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭piuswal

If the floor is open I might have a go. This is a tricky one, name the four major Mafia groups in Italy?

Don't worry about spelling, a clue is that they're all based in southern Italy.

Some might argue that there are at least 5 but for what it's worth here are 4

    Camora
    Cosa Nostra
    'Ndrangheta
    Sacra Corona

Those are the four I was looking for. Your question.
