I've just cut out taking weight gainer and whey protein from my diet because it is messing up my bowel movement. Anyway I feel a but stuck on how to get my extra protein and calories?

Is there anyone in here that doesn't take supplements and is getting good gains? I would appreciate any tips! Thanks

I generally don't. I find that most protein shakes make expensive poo. I had taken shakes with dinner to see if that works, but didn't fair much better. Currently trying Complete whey (http://www.fssn.ie/shop/?cat=1236358321457&start_item=0&product=1236604635732) at night made with cooled chamomile tea to see if that works.

Look out for cheap meat/fish/proteiny food and get it into you. Tuna and rice worked well for me before. But now I won't eat tuna.......

I've heard of whey mixed with a lot of stuff over the years but never chamomile, may not be a good idea as I'm sure chamomile helps bowel movement.

Skinny_guy heard before beans and brown rice is a complete protein source. Pasteurised Eggs whites are very handy if your in Kildare PM me as I know a good source.

Eat more high protein food?? Eggs, meat,Fish, snack on nuts, powders are just a convenient way to get calories in!

Have you tried Whey Isolate? Could be a lactose allergy? If you think isolate is too expensive mix normal whey with lactose free milk. The lactaze in the milk was enough for my stomach to cope! I've since found colief baby medicine has the same effect, add 4 drops to a litre of milk, leave it sit overnight, add it to whey, no explodeyhole! I also use lactaze tablets from H&B if I'm out & want dairy! :)
