    Hey,

I lost a lot of weight about two years ago, and have put some of it on again in the meantime. I started going to the gym again and being serious about getting to an optimal weight again last month, and in the first three weeks I lost 9lbs. However, this morning, after going to the gym four times last week and eating well, I weighed myself and I'm the exact same weight as I was last Monday. This always seems to happen. I lose a steady amount of weight for 3-4 weeks, and then lose nothing the following week. While in the gym, I just do cardio work- no weights or anything that would build muscle. In the past, I've pushed on from this and continued the weight loss so it's not a major sticking point, but I'm curious as to why this pattern seems to occur.
