Anybody who suffered during Saturday's stage, will not be looking forward to this stage.
I wonder will Dan try and get in an early break?

There could be a few breaks. The Sky boys will be VERY selective about who they let away.

Look at those 20% ramps on the last climb.

    app.strava.com/segments/1286159

and lauren t's VAM of nearly 2000 says it all.

yeah tommorow will test the legs, 3rd last climb should ride the group of any of those not in form, then final climb might break some, wonder how much it will come back within top and the finish.

Really excited for tomorrow's stage. This is my first year watching the Tour, and road racing in general, and I think I'm hooked for life. Beats the hell out of waiting 1/2 weeks for Formula 1 racing!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,145 ✭✭✭BQQ

Think this is one for a breakaway.

Someone like Paulinho. Won a stage in 2010.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,325 ✭✭✭AG2R

The way to break the sky train is to keep attacking it, make them change their pace. They've been great when dictating the pace themselves but if they need to keep upping it and then slowing down to only have to kick on again it may break them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭GetWithIt

I reckon Sky are going to ride to plan, the same plan, on each and every mountain. Form the train and pace Wiggins up. That is the quickest way for him to get from the bottom to the top and irrespective of whether anyone attacks that's what they'll do.

Whether they can do that on every mountain as effectively as they did yesterday is debatable. The loss of Svitsov is going to be felt at some some stage. Rogers did his job yesterday with Garmin doing Rogers job. That's not going to happen again.

Roche loses some time, he's lost his chain. Race is very stretched and broken up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Nico gets some assistance to rejoin the peloton. Good to see if you're a Roche fan!

Is that Sanchez's third crash this year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,968 ✭✭✭aindriu80

couldn't see exactly what happened but looks like someone just fell asleep

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Eurosport saying his own teammate pulled over to the side too quickly. Sanchez is heartbroken, horrible to see.

roy out front... id love if he won a stage. he was so agressive last year but never got the stage win he deserved. he's a real ballsy rider

Enough of these crashes. Race really loosing it's gloss when the likes of Ryder Hysedal and Sammy Sanches abandoning. Can't see anyone to threaten Evans and Wiggins in the Alps now. Gutted at the loss of Sammy S.

Another stupid crash on a straight road (just replaying in on the eurosport player) the riders just seemed to run into each other

Is there anyway to watch Eurosport player without paying for it? Heard it was free, but whenever I try to use it they ask me to sign up and pay?
