The vegetarian one is true - everything is cooked in the same oil including fish burger and if cooked meat falls in the pots where the veg pots are for pizza - it might not be till the next day before it's picked out or not at all. Same utensils and boards are used for cutting veg and meat (not raw) too.

The grilled chicken one is a load of bs - chicken is delivered in the morning, coated in flour and dumped in the fryer. Chicken is so popular that there is never any left over and the whole lot of it is floured and fried in the one day.

That chicken nugget stuff is actually very disturbing and stomach churning, and you know it's not just mcdonalds chicken which is made from that "paste" or whatever you want to call it.

How can fast food workers have the intelligence to tell anyone what not to eat, that's the reason they work there. Lack of it.

The same could be said of most restaurants you worked in one. Never complain until you havef finished eating.

With fast food it's more a question of damage limitation. I seriously hope that anyone will know a taco fries is worse than a regular chip.

I know people become vegetarian for different reasons, health, animal cruelty or environmental issues. I'm just thinking, is it a big deal if they don't change the oil.

For one, if it's health reasons, don't eat in these places. The same goes for vegetarians with a love of animals. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal and a vegetarian who eats these shouldn't get too worked up over it.

Taking the piss out of people that work in fast food restaurants is foolish, especially seeing as how you don't even have a job. Maybe when you get a job you can afford to critique those workers that have one.

Like I said; you make an interdesting point.

I used to work in bars, but the one bit of advice I have is ask for no lemons. People just pick them out and chop them up with the same hands they've been handling cash with and don't get that they're essentially handling food. Icky.

    Yes, it is.

Quite simply, it allows meat constituents to come in contact with food we would eat, which would class it as cross-contamination. Vegetarians tend to mostly avoid fast food outlets as it is, and eat food at home, where you can be sure of how it is prepared, or in somewhere that would cater for a vegetarian or vegan customer, along with a meat-eating one.

What you personally think, is your own thing. Personally, I think you are wrong, and I would class it as a "big deal".

Thanks for all the replies. I thought more workers in these places might give us some advice though. Like me most of the replies are from customers.
