Be great for the country to get it again. Great buzz about.

Any reason why it goes to Galway?

Part of it is that guys in galway and failte ireland put money in to backing a boat. Green dragon last time and now sanya its also the reason that countries like abu dabi, china and new zealand got stop overs (although nz was always a whitbread stopover) just a pity the volvo has become so commercialised and is now going one design. Dont see why they couldnt have just had a 65ft box rule

Because it's Galway and we do party type things really well here, tho Westport could be a good choice too...:)

Safety, gear failure and wanting it to be even more competitive then this years edition.

It should be about the best sailors not the boat.

Safety and gear failure having nothing to do with a box rule. Gear failure happens in one design just as much as in box rule or irc. The volovo 60s and 70s were all just as safe as any one design and had strict safety guidelines to follow. The box rule wax allowed progression in boat design and equipment that finally filters down to the club racer
