Sore hips/flexors

I assume I'm talking about hip flexors here, inside of the leg, at the joint either side of my pubic region.

They are usually sore after squatting and walking for any length of time. Although I cant really pin it to any one exercise as I do squat, lunges, mountain climbers for abs and walking/running. So it could be a combination which gets overloaded on leg day.

Would stretching or specific exercises help with the soreness ? Should I be isolating them the same as the other muscles and building them up or something ?

Sounds like your adductors &/or flexors: This should help!

Thanks I'll try those later. Its just a matter of stretching them to loosen them up then I take it ?

It's not that simple, if a muscle is short & tight one side then the opposing muscle(s) will be inhibited & weak! Stretch & relax like in the video then work on strengthening your Abductors & extensors! Thera/resistance bands are great for this! They're really under utilised see below links to see how much of a difference they possibly make

Alternatively you could follow Kelly Starretts (the vid I linked to earlier)stuff everyday, find episode 1 & follow from there! :)
