hey quick question, i have been working out with a 6kg kettlebell since about mid april, while i still get a good workout from it i'm wondering should i increase the weight to increase my results? and if so should i go up to the 8kg or just go really heavy and get the 12kg? sorry if this seems like a silly question.:D

Go with whatever weight you can still use comfortably while maintaining proper form.

thanks dude:D, if i get the 12kg and find it too heavy at first will i gradually get used to it? or should i just build myself up from the 8kg. i ask because i'll be getting either the 8 or the 12 tomorrow :)

slow and steady wins the race.

but if you can manage the 12kg and can keep strict form them defo go for it.

If you get the 12 just for the sake of it, in the hope you'll "get used to it", you may injure yourself and do yourself no favours.
Better to stick to a weight that allows you to keep perfect form, and only move up when you can.

what are you doing with your 6kg?

you trying to build muscle or get leaner?

Jumping from 6 to 12 is a big jump in one move and may cause injury. I'd go 8 and go from there.

Getting lean is down to reducing bodyfat. Displaying the muscle you have better.

Building muscle wouldnt be "getting lean". It'd be getting bigger.

not messing i got ta kettlebell out of curiosity and just ended up loving them, i have a few kettlebell DVD workouts that i do regularly, i've lost all the weight i want just aiming to get leaner now, made the decision to stick to my plan and get the 8kg and work my way up. :D i didn't think the 8 would be much diff than the 6kg but it kinda is, me just jumping the gun

If you feel the 12 might be too big of a jump and 8 to light why not go for the 10? Think its 25 quid or so in d8 fitness for a 10kg competition kettlebell
