    Full and final details:
MacTurcaills on junction of Townsend & Tara Street at 8pm on Saturday 19th of August. Don't get too drunk before hand :p

Sub-Lounge was booked up, we couldn't have it :(

Noc Beers! The previous poll started by the infamous Spoonbadger has yielded the 17th/18th as the best date and Saturdays are always better than Fridays for these things to allow people to travel and stay the night.

So, it's set! Should I book the Black Sheep again? I thought it was a really nice place, but I'm open to suggestions if people have another preference.

    +1 for Black Sheep.

Good beer selection, a bit pricey but really good venue.

Can't say I'm a fan of the Black Sheep.

That said, who knows where the heck I'll be come August 18th.

Quite surprised at the lack of love for the Black Sheep, what didn't people like?

    Ok, alternative suggestions:
    • O'Reillys/Sub Lounge on Tara Street
    • The Grand Social on Liffey St
    • TP Smiths on Jervis St

Well we are going sub lounge for another beers. (still praying I can still go to that). don't know the other two. I never made it last time so I have no opinion of the black sheep, but a lot of people have complained it was dark etc?

It's a bit out of the way. Personally I prefer boards beers to be more central.

If I'm thinking of the right place is the Black Sheep not located in Ghost town, Smithfield?

They won't like O'Reillys so. :pac: Speaking of which, was in there a few weeks ago, €3.30 (I think?) for a pint of Bulmers. Must have asked the bar woman at least 3 times if she was sure that was right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,746 ✭✭✭✭Galvasean

O'Reilly's is obscenely good value. €3.30 for a pint of any sort of draught plus cheap shots and metal music. Very Nocish...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,598 ✭✭✭boomkatalog

Poll maybe? Add O'Reilly's and MacTurcaills and another couple of suggestions?

I have a pretty busy social life, I will have to check my calendar for other parties/events that don't involve boards.

    *tumbleweed*

    Yeah, I'm probably free. :o

It's a 5min walk from O'Connell Street, how is that now "central".

No, it is on corner of Capel Street and Parnell Street.

How is this not an added bonus for a NOCTURNAL Forum Beers?

O' Reilly's is the bomb. I like O'Reillys. the Noc had a birthday beers for me there a few years back by accident :)

Guess what? Aug the 18th is just a few days before my B day.
