    Heartbreak in Seattle!

Nervy game in the NFC West clash. Seahawks got very lucky in 1st half with some poorly timed interceptions thrown by Ryan, one going for 6 as the 1st quarter ended.

A fair few 3 and outs through out game for both teams.

Cardinals dominated the air but Hillis ran beautifully, including a touch down from 44 yds, making his game 153 yards.

BUT.... mid-way through 4th quarter he suffered a career ending injury with some fractured vertebrae.

    Final Score 13 - 23 to Seahawks

Some Peyton Hillis Stats for season
Rushed for 1158 yrds - 10 TDs rushing
    Received 234 yds - 2 TDs

    Cant find career stats...

New York Gaints 21 - 10 Atlanta Falcons

The Giants second indoor game in as many weeks, and once again Drew Brees fails to live up to expectations and for the second week Alex Smith has come off the bench to impress, even though he only had 6 pass attempts.

It was a nervy game as the Giants were out to avoid injury and The Falcons wanted to keep their slim play off hopes alive. Atlanta received the kick off and put together a nice drive, mixing it up with short runs and then killer 3rd down convertion passes. The drive was ultimately fruitless as Hartley missed the field goal wide right. It did tire out the Giants defence and their offence didn't do them any favours.going 3 and out on the opening drive with Brees being hit or sacked on each play.

It was The Falcons who ended Brees' season last year in week 5, and they seemed determined to end his play off dream too.

The Falcons drove again with the Giants defence getting frustrated not being able to get off the field , until Tim Mingley forced a fumble from Williams which Clayborn recovers and is injured while being tackled. That knocked him out of the game but thankfully only the game.

Finally the Giants get moving down the filed mixing rushes between Tomlinson and Lamothe, capping an impressive drive with a 9 yard pass to Meecham for the score.

The Falcons reply the same way they have all game, with another long drive, but with time running out, after entering the red zone, Romo clocks the ball on 3rd down instead of a hurry up. His coach is furious, but this is December football and this is Tony Romo. The Falcons take the 3 as they go into half time down 7-3.

The second half and The Giants take the pressure off Brees and put the ball n the hands of LT and Lamothe, who ended the game with 145 yards between them as the both scored in the 3rd to put the game beyond Atlanta.

The Falcons to their credit never let their heads drop but it was over when Romo was picked by Super Mario (thats 3 now). The Giants who now had Smith under centre moved the ball nicely but couldnt convert. The Falcons had one more drive to get into the end zone and this time they did, Romo hitting Decker for a 10 yard td.

Falcons are a tough team to play, as they control the clock well with short passes and mixing in runs. You should try mixing in some deep passes to Miles Austin Jones some times too. It's a shame you lost Jackson in week one. Jon Stewart wasn't ever gonna replace him.

    Thanks for the game bro.

Next on the Giants quest to "Unbeaten" is the CPU Cowboys and then away to hated rivals The Eagles. Should The Gaints make it out of Jerry's house with the streak alive, you can bet your house that The Eagleswill do everything they can to end it.

Bucs beat the Saints to go 12-2....

...More importantly, after 9 weeks out, Matt Forte will be back next week, just in time for the playoffs. Not sure if he'll start over Demarco Murray though who has over 1,000 yards and 18 TDs from just 121 attempts... And he somehow has never got injured!!!

A win over the falcons next or a Lions loss to the pack secures the number 2 seed.

Rams 24 49ers 21. FG in overtime gives the Rams their fifth win of the season and third division victory this season. Bit of luck needed to take this one and rookie HB Hayes has done his collarbone and misses the last two games. Tight game with few sacks and plenty of mind games!(by me)

Titans have an epic performance against the CPU Fins tonight.

MJD finds his rhythm on the ground and in the air

Titans get 543 yards of offense with 174 rushing and 369 passing.
    27 first downs, 72% 3rd down conversion

MJDgets 174 yards off 32 carries, 4 TDs(should have had one more but i let the clock run out at the 1 yard line)

He also gets himself 298 yards off 16 catches and a TD, Finley gets himself a key 60 yards
Titans have a quiet day on defense conceding a FG butgetting an int, some sacks and a couple of fumbles

    Fins 3 Titans 35

    Rejuvenation in Meadow Lands !

The Bills come to New York fora 7th time in 3 years looking for a win. They win the toss and defer. On the Jets opening drive the Wilson at corner back jumps a well run route by Mike Thomas which he runs it in for 6 !

    7-0 Bills!

The Jets do what they've since they've been in the BFL . The bring it up field a mixture of runs from Gore and Spiller results in a 4 yard fade pass to Burress !

    7-7

Buffalo run the ball well up to midfield with both Woodhead and Lynch getting equal carriers. However the Jets D force a 3rd down stop. Big Ol Janikowski waddles out to kick a 46 yard field goal.

    10-7 Bills

The teams trade another set of punt's However the Bills punt leave New york on there 6 a delay of game penalty after a failed audible creates a 2-13. Its an in-completion ! The Bills have the Jets on a 3-13 . A 66 yard long pass to Heyward-Bey results in a heart breaking first down ! The Bills get over the disappointment of this and keep New York to a field goal.

    10-10

Theres 1;45 left on the clock . Buffalo decide to go conservative considering there getting the ball in the second half, after getting to there own 35 yard line. Cutler does what he was brought in to do. He audibles to a deep pass and hits Holmes for a 55 yard pass ! After that Marshawn lynch runs it in from 14 yards out for a touchdown !

    17-10 Bills !

The Jets get slightly aggressive with 50 seconds left and 1 time out left. Cody Morris the Bills rookies defensive tackle gets a big sack and forces the jets inside there 10 yard line. New York are forced to punt, Janikowski waddles out to kick a 51 yard field goal.

20-10 Bills ( Do we start to dream ? )

After both teams are forced to punt on there opening drives of the second half, The Bills get the ball in there own half. After some great running from Lynch a 16 yard pass to Vinnie Jackson results a touchdown !

    27-10 Bills !

The Bills kick off and there special teams force a fumble and recover it . Danny Woodhead runs it in on the very next play from 11 yards out !

34-10 at the end of the fourth quarter !

Janikowski gets yet another field goal to make the score 37-10

The Bills have won it ! its over ! Boom !

Nope New York make the Bills sweat it out ! They go to an aggressive pass offense and start to bring in a no huddle add in a fumble from the Bill's 3rd string running back and 3 touchdowns later its 37-31

An onside kick fails for the jets and the Bills take a very deep breath and kneel it out.

    Final Score 37-31 Bills

Have the Bills gained the belief to go all the way?

Berty cheers for the game ! Gracious in victory nearly all the time and in defeat when it occasionally happens :) That fumble on the kick off was a killer! With out that it would have been a different game.

The Giants and the Bucc's will want a review after certain comments from the Jets head coach.

Now I'm 1-6 against the Jets ! Boom!!!!

Deserved victory for the Bills and about time too. Final score really does not reflect Bills superiority. Well played Dave !

I think only Santry and McG have a better record than that so that is something to be proud of.

A tainted victory is not however.... I like how the 3 tds in a quarter was just glossed over. That smells like we better make this a bit closer Berty so the guys on boards will believe it. Il just call cover 2 man and you can slant your way up the field so it doesn't look like I let you back in.

I stand by my previous statement.

I really do not see the point of that match-fixing. If anything, it means there's a better chance they'll meet in the divisional round. Maybe they want to make it so only one of them must meet the Raiders? Confusing.

Pick 6's, special team fumbles, a 55yard passing TDs.....

    .... FIX!!!!....

.... Bet that guy in the Jets gear who put the 100k on the Bills is happy tho!!!

    What's confusing about it???

    - irregular betting patterns
    - controversial pre match comments
    - bizarre in game occurrences... Cutler throwing a 55yard td pass!!!
    - post match lovey-dovey-ness
    - years of evidence of Jets dominance

I think ET put it best.... SHENANIGANS!!!

I hope the commish brings both GMs before him to explain their completely inconsiderate and inappropriate actions!!!! I am not one bit amused

Matthew - Ibmax and etloveslsd are just joking. Berty would never lose a game intentionally,

His comment about the bills winning is down to the fact the last two time we play i had the bad luck and should of won at least one of em.

Presumably the Bills and Jets are both banned from the playoffs for this match fixing. I think you will find with the Bills that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Why else would they offer odds on teams winning the SB?

Struggled to stop the Bills runs, missing tackles everwhere pick 6 early was a killer, kickoff return fumble another killer.

After having a winning streak of something like 30 straight games in all leagues I have now lost ( deservedly ) 6 of last 7 games. Two of those losses were in playoffs. Sometimes Madden goes like that.

The 3 tds we're glossed over correctly because they were in garbage time. Final scoreline absolutely flattered the Jets who were nowhere near good enough

Back to the practice field in preparation for the playoff.........

An excellent point of course. The Bills have been artificially doctoring odds since the beginning of the season to inflate their own value from a over/under win perspective while negatively affecting the opposition's public perspective, allowing them to cash in on wins and losses against bad teams teams while benefiting from easy (fixed) wins against strong opposition... A brilliant scam, totally rumbled!!!

    Commish... You're up!!!

Oh dear god am I glad that one's over. Never again will I play a late game, though this one wasn't laggy (the Americans must be too busy celebrating independence day to slow us down) but I was hyper-nervous, shivering, heart pounding, and I sort of felt sick. That said my play wasn't affected at all by this. That's the way I usually play, apart from feeling a little sick. I'm the BFL equivalent of that guy who pukes before the game (though not literally).

    Quarter 1
Raiders win the toss and kick off. The Chargers get one first down but on the next third down are stuffed. They punt to Reggie Bush who makes a neat return to around the 50. One Greg Olsen pass and I'm at the 30. One DeAngelo Bell run and I'm inside the 10. 3 more Bell runs, the last being a toss, and I score. 7-0 Raiders

The Chargers got the bal and started to move it downfield.

    Quarter 2
The Chargers made their way to the Raiders 22 but got no further and had to settle for a field goal. 7-3 Raiders

The Raiders were forced to punt on the next drive and the Chargers took the ball around their 30. They earned a first down and Hernandez caught a pass around the first down marker, broke a tackle and got a couple blocks and was off to the races for a 59 yard touchdown reception. 10-7 Chargers

On the next drive the Raiders again passed the ball down the field, and the safeties were made pay for not being deep enough on a 38 yard touchdown pass to Greg Olsen. 14-10 Raiders

It went from bad to worse for the Chargers as the unreliableRyan Fitzpatrick threw an interception to OLD MAN WILLIE (Allen), the nickelback with 12 years in the league who now leads the league in interceptions (I think). Johnny Knox got open wide and Matt Hill threw a precise pass before the safety could close on him for a 36 yard touchdown pass. 21-10 Raiders

    Quarter 3
The Raiders received the kickoff and now is a good time to mention how my offensive line was completely OWNED by the Chargers front 7. Matt Hill took a pounding and we went 3 and out.

Enough fooling around for the Chargers as they marched downfield and LeGarrette Blount ran in 2 yards for the touchdown. The Chargers went for 2 and were successful. 21-18 Raiders

Then god intervened on the side of the Raiders. Greg Olsen had a yard on a linebacker, but the pass was overthrown. Reggie Bush was in the vicinity and his superior leaping skills (to the safety covering him) got him the catch, Greg Olsen blocked the safety and he ran away from the linebacker for a 78 yards touchdown reception on the first play of the drive. 28-18 Raiders

The Chargers again marched downfield but were stopped at the Raiders 14 and had to settle for a 31 yard field goal. 28-21 Raiders

    Quarter 4
Another 3 and out and another grovelling apology to Matt Hill from the O-line coach.

Again the Chargers went downfield but this time they got it in on a 3 yard touchdown run by Blount. 28-28 and backs to the wall for the Raiders.

On the next drive Matt Hill escaped the rush and scampered ahead for around 15 yards to help settle my nerves. His nerves however were destroyed by 2 more sacks. However, with pressure comes open receivers and Johnny Knox caught a 42 yard bomb to take me into Chargers territory. Time to waste a little time as the 2 minute warning struck. The Chargers were forced to use 2 crucial timeouts. Another throw to Greg Olsen over the middle and I was inside the Chargers 10. I tried to run but was stuffed. I would have to pass the ball in, which didn't end well for me in the last meeting of the 2 teams. I think I went 0 for 4 inside the 10 in week 2 in terms of touchdowns. I called the Verticals play but really I was just picking a nice formation to audible out of. I saw Louis Murphy was uncovered so I audibled to stick. A risky call, because if the Chargers corner was covering the flat and I threw it to Murphy (who was running 2 yards and going across) it would be a pick 6. However the corner was on Knox and Murphy caught the ball and ran around the guy covering him for a 9 yard TD reception. 35-28 Raiders.

On the next drive the Chargers got a first down but Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an interception to my star rookie Jean Jones. WIth 1:25 left and the Chargers only having 1 timeout, that was it and I kneeled it out.

MVP: Matt Hill with 9 completions off 13 attempts for 313 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Ryan Fitzpatrick went 16-26 for 245 yards a touchdown and 2 interceptions.

    On the ground:
DeAngelo Bell had 8 rushes for 32 yards and a score, while LeGarrette Blount had 19 rushes for 101 yards and 2 scores. Dion Lewis contributed to the Bolts efforts with 3 rushes for 12 yards and FB Ahmard Hall had 1 rush for 19 yards.

In the receiving game, Greg Olsen had 5 catches for 148 yards and a score, Johnny Knox had 2 catches for 78 yards and a score, Reggie Bush had 1 catch for 78 yards and a score, and Louis Murphy had 1 catch for 9 yards and a score.

Aaron Hernandez had 9 catches for 143 yards and a score, Vincent Brown had 3 catches for 72 yards, Blount had 2 for 15 yards, Marshall had 1 for 13 yards, and Lewis had one for 2 yards.

Will Allen and Jean Jones had an interception each for the Raiders, while Jared Allen, Tyson Alualu and Curtis Brown had 2 sacks each for the Chargers, while Siona Pouha and Lance Briggs had a sack each for the Chargers.

I have to say I am disappointed with the way my defense played but they did come up with the big plays when I needed them most so I'll let them off the hook. I'm glad I have completely shrugged off any one dimensional element I had as last week I was able to run the ball all day to win and this week I truly aried it out to win.

Right now I am the first seed for the playoffs in the AFC, and hopefully I can win a tough one against the Chiefs next week.

Yeah your oline played pretty poorly. You like to throw deep so I had time to get to the qb. Good game though, nice win.

Hopefully you beat the chiefs, I need to stay ahead in the playoff race.

I was lucky not to fumble with those 8 sacks. I think 2 CPU wins means you're into the playoffs whatever about the Chiefs.

Is there no end to this scandal? This is not the behaviour I would expect of fine franchises like The Bills and The Je...well the Bills anyway. This is the sort of carry on you would expect out of Boston.

The commish will need to investigate, Dave's match fixing is a rampant as the yoke that lives in his missus' bedside locker

I would certainly like to see someone banned over this whole fiasco. Whether it be the Bills and Jets for blatant match-fixing, the Titans for implicating themselves in a future scam or the Bucs and the Giants for what may (although i seriously doubt it) turn out to be a false accusation.

Given the commissioners happen to be the Lions and Packers, they may find a common interest in banning the Bucs (likely NFC 2nd seed) and Giants (likely NFC 1st seed) from the playoffs....

....in which case i call shenanigans again and would like to see the commish's ban themselves for potentially having these thoughts!!!

    I thank you

If we've learned anything from Roger Goodell, it's that the Commissioners powers are absolute and final. Unless you want to appeal a Commissioner's decision to... oh wait, the Commissioner.

Surely the physical battle against the Rams last week took a lot out of the jets and resulted in this defeat.....or am I the only one thinking that?

No it was the draining battle with the Rams !

BTW Dave I never got the opportunity to thank you for all the drink you bought me on the Boards night out last Friday week. Turned out to be a cheap night out for me with your generosity. I know Heli was also very happy as he is saving for the wedding. He said that the 10 pints you bought him were good training for his stag last weekend.

Dave.......I bow to your generosity, cannot understand whyyou getting no love from your friends with generosity like that.

Yep, he seemed to be so disappointed that we would not go in for a full sit down in the Chinese...but the kebabs were nice.

Really enjoyed the stretch limo, never been in one before :)

You know i was wondering why there was a stretch limo outside the pub when i was leaving for work and why Dave was in a Tuxedo serving drinks but honestly thought nothing of it, thought he was being his normal thoughtful self.

And if bans are been talked of it should totally be the buccs just saying :P

I wonder will the Bills be like the Italians. Every time they are involved in a match fixing scandal they at least make the final!!

An interesting point... of course it's relatively easy to make a final/Superbowl when MATCH-FIXING is involved!!!

and @ Notyalc, i will happily accept any forthcoming ban should it be proven there was no match fixing... of course there was a bucket full of it so i am in no way worried; we can now add pints and kebabs to pick 6's and ST fumbles!!! SHENANIGANS

AND @ Danger_Dave, why Danger? Is this something to do with the people you hang around with in your scam circles? Did you pull a fast one on some undesirables and earn the reputation? After last nights antics i'm wondering why it's not Devious_Dave? Why not Deceptive_Dave? Why not DupeDaSystem_Dave? Why Dave??? WHY!!!!!
