Miriam is back, and she has a decent Guestlist ...
New series. Martin McGuinness gives his first major interview after meeting the Queen this week. Also appearing are Bill O'Herlihy, Sonia O'Sullivan, Catherina McKiernan and Leo Sayer, who performs his hit single When I Need You.

Wonder what the atmosphere will be like between Miriam and Martin after the debate?....

Also, can't see her wearing Leo as a backpack....:D

I had forgotten that incident. No real benefit to McGuinness to bring that up again. Summer Miriam bears little similarity to Primetime Miriam, he would look like a sore loser.

Little kiss and/or handshake (no.2) and "let's be friends" maybe?.......;)

Jaysus - nice camera angle at the start - basic instinct much ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,749 ✭✭✭✭grey_so_what

Well, Bill launched into who's going to win without any questions asked so I guess he's leading on this one!!!!....

Miriam needs to put him in his box - it's her show!!...

I hope RTE bought the sofa at Cost Plus Sofas. They'd have gotten a 40" LCD TV free with it.

Hard to believe Bill started out as a Current Affairs presenter, he got moved to Sport after a controversial report on Money Lending.

He is a great presenter, he will be hard to replace when he retires.

Ah Jaysus, FF bashing, give it a rest...............:(

Bill is obviously writing a book.......????zzzzzzzz

Time to get the monkey off his back.....

Agreed, a lot of presenters annoy me but Bill really seems to have a nice way about him.

Nothing like that would ever happen on Primetime (Investigates), would it Miriam? :D

    Sh1t first interview...............

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,749 ✭✭✭✭grey_so_what

Bill puts a case why he should have a job with Miriam supporting him, not good tv, this is uncomfortable tv, case of hyping up the job.

Bill is good at what he does and shouldn't have to go on and quantify his contribution to sport at this stage in his life.

I agree I was a bit sad for him. TBF it must be very hard to make a career on short term contracts.

Is that a birds nest on his head?

Leo was only talking to John Murray on his radio show last week, there must be a special offer on at the moment. Two RTE interviews for the price of one.

He really hasn't aged much in fairness...............

God I'd hate to be sitting in the audience directly behind the guests.
    I'd have to move

I used to like Leo Sayer until I saw him on Celebrity Big Brother. He was an arrogant little git on that.

There's a place in Cork called Orchard Road. Whenever I pass through it, that song always goes through my head. :D

As I said last year, this show is quite dull. Miriam is alright, but she tends to be over-nice to guests (as if she is trying to prove she is not the harsh interviewer we see on Primetime)

RTE should try out some new talent in the Summer Chat Show slot.

Sonia was a 3 time World Champion and 3 time European Champion, and still everyone only talks about a race in which she came second :(
