Can't beat Gary Imlach and Chris Boardman presenting on ITV 4. Gotta love that theme tune too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b9RSV9p8Vo&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Agree 100%, love the 1 hour evening ITV highlights programme with the discussion & stage finish preview etc, eurosport fall down on nightly analysis post race imo and only have proper pre race analysis for the big mountain stages in the main.

Had that tune as my ring tone last year, must get it again :)

Damn. Up until a year ago I was working in Liege - I could have been paid while I watched this!

The eurosport coverage is only on 20 minutes and they must have already mentioned Wiggins about 2 million times. :(

that tourdefrancis ad is going to get real annoying

The IAMSPECIALIZED advert is pure class - real Roy of the Rovers type stuff.

That kinda puts what the pro tour guys can do into perspective, especially when you consider that they're negotiating 2 hairpins and a cobbled section today too.

    Cavendish on the road.
It'll be interesting to see how he goes at this with the reported 4kg weight loss and all.

Anyone find the live tracker on the Le Tour website. Cant find it this year.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,570 ✭✭✭Rovi

Really liking that Specialized ad! :D

Some Cycling adverts are ridiculous. The wiggle and sidi being up there.
Though the specialized with kid was gas.

And the tour de pologne ad smacking into the wingmirror!?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,570 ✭✭✭Rovi

The super-cheesy Sidi ads are almost part of the culture of following the TdF on Eurosport at this stage, it just wouldn't be the same without them :D

    Freire wearing Assos shades

Bike change for Tony Martin - that's not good. Unless you're Cancellara or Wiggins of course, then it's great :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,414 ✭✭✭Bunnyhopper

Interesting query raised on the Guardian's live coverage - why did Evans have a bottle on his bike? My first thought was weight limits.

Cancellera the winner One second between martin and roche 24 and 25 seconds behind the leader respectively. A good time for Roche??

How do they decide the order the riders go out in the Prologue?

    55th- Daniel Martin @ 24"
    56th- Nicolas Roche @ 25"

interesting to see the lads with similar times. good rides from both of them i think. alot better than some of the other favourites(Schlek losing over 30"). they also both beat Zabriske who is a former american tt champion so thats a great result

Martin had to change bike. Still not a terrible time at all for either, plenty of GC people did worse.

Thats what I said, you have to be having a laugh if you think Dan could change his bike and finish on the same time as Tony!
