    Anyone know what the gym is like at the new UCD sports centre? Any info on membership fees?

    The gym is decent, 2 cages, four benches with more on the way, 1 bench press, dumbells up to 50kg, load of machines and cardio.

    The pool is incredible, bettered only by the National Aquatic Centre.

    Fees are 800 for the year for private members (non student, alumni or staff) and the gym is reserved from 6.15pm to 8.15pm for private members only.

    edit: bear in that there's about 20,000 students who are also members + staff and alumni that join. So I would say for the first while at least it will be very busy, unless you can go early or during the private members time. Oh, and there's plenty of private member parking.
