Current BYOB options in Dublin

Hi,

A group of us are looking to try a BYOB option in Dublin this weekend and I've found a limited number of resources for available cafes/restaurants that do BYOB such as on menupages and on this other site.

1. Does anyone have any other BYOB recommendations?
2. How does BYOB work i.e. I assume we book in advance telling them we'll be bringing our own bottle(s).
3. Is the corkage charge per person or per bottle as the corkage charges vary.
4. Anything else I should be aware of with BYOB?

Rigbys Deli & Dining Room 126 Upper Leeson Street

Seagrass, Portobello, Dublin 2

Little Jerusalem, Rathmines

Cathedral Cafe, Patrick Street, Dublin 8
NB: Only Thursday-Sunday evenings

Thanks. I checked that thread out.

So the 'Bottle' in BYOB tends to be commonly wine (although Beer can also be brought... I suppose it depends on the restaurant)

Recommendations included:

1. Cafe Bliss on Montague Street looks like a decent recommendation
2. Musashi Japanese Restaurant
3. Rotana cafe
4. Seagrass
5. royal tandoori
6. Noodles
7. Keshk

But how is the corkage charged?

Thanks for those suggestions. Rigbys looks like a good option but the menu didn't display for me on menupages?

bring the finest selection of beer you can find and a bunch of mates and you'll have a better night out than almost any pub in dublin

Bray Bowl also does BYOB for €10. It has the added advantage of free arcade games. It's actually quite fun!

The cops shut this down in Cork. There was literally never hassle from it, but apparently some asshat of an inspector didn't like what was going on.

that's terrible, there's never been any trouble at the coolock one (afaik)
so i dont see why anyone would want to shut it down, its over by 12ish and everyone just goes on their way.

from the people i talk to at it, everyone would have just been at home drinking beer rather than at the pub so there's no lost revenue for the pubs (i.e. no real reason to make a complaint, other than just jealousy perhaps) people either use it as a better alternative to sitting in or as a pre-drinking thing.

hopefully nothing happens to the dublin / bray ones, i go about once a month and i would go more often if i could
