If your putting on weight your eating more calories than your burning.

Have you worked out how many calories you should be eating? Are you tracking your food on any sites?

    1200 isnt very much.

id avoid pork though, seems to have a lot more calories than chicken.

portion sizes are another thing to consider??

Yes 1200 is very little and you should read the stickies to get a realistic figure.

Poster - by stickies, stench meant here - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055157091&page=9

and for working out your cals, go here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=50956807&postcount=4

also, you say recently you started, how recent is recent? 1 week? 1 month?

also its not unusual for your weight to fluctuate daily on the scales due to hydration levels

Is 15mins of 'intense' Cardio enough too? Okay reducing calories is important. I've lost 16 kilos by doing 2 things. Changing how I eat (reducing calorie intake, lowering fat intake, lowering carbs and slightly increasing protein. try to keep it 40:40:20 Carb:Protein:Fat but it does fluctuate a few points) and increasing the amount of exercising.

If you're at home with the new baby, stick it in the pram and head off and go for a brisk walk for 80/90mins. You should be able to hit about 8 or 9km in that time. That will get a sweat on and be far better, IMO, than 15mins of 'intense' cardio.

Also, if you've access to a gym, consider getting some resistance/weight training in. Even try getting involved in Kettlebells workouts. I find them excellent.

    Best of luck
