    Sure.
You are a gentleman and I think I understand your opinion.
We probably differ somewhat on it but I definitely respect your opinion nonetheless.

I will definitely follow up on the safe collar idea to see if it is really a runner.

Thank you for considering it anyway , and as for my comment "they should be all shot like any other invasive species if seen roaming any distance from houses"
i still stand by that, but if i seen a cat with bells on its collar on my farm i can honestly say i would not shot that cat just so as we are clear on that

to other posters : I really just posted this to identify the rodent and to be sure it wasn't a rat.
I could have put down BASF/Storm in nooks and cranniesbut that would have risk poisoning other creatures.

Well done for this anyway! Secondary poisoning is a bigger problem than most people realise!

MOD WARNING: Folks I don't want to see any more posts about damaging people's private property or posts about shooting/killing domestic cats.

Damaging private propety is an illegal act.

The shooting or killing of domestic cats is not a legal act as domestic cats do come under the Protection of Animals Act for this country.

That is the most cowardly thing anyone could do, the farmer was in the wrong ok if he couldn't do the job right but at least have the guts to say it to his face

That is a really good idea the cat is safe and it gives a fair warning to the wildlife too

@ifconfig please get one of these for your cat

The person who kicked in his car would not say they kicked in his car for fear of getting sued or something. But i'm sure he figured it out by himself. Everyone knows why the car was kicked in, and they know a group of two or three people who might have done it, but cant point the finger at one person.
Actually its been kicked in three or four times since. And all because he shot a cat. I take pleasure in telling him now that i dont know who kicked in his car, but I would buy them a pint if I did. Though he thinks it was me - rightly or wrongly :) . He cant prove a thing.
