Hi!

Just had the telephone interview with Vodafone. They have so many stages! I'm so freaked out I have to wait all weekend in agony to find out the results. Anyone else out there in the same or better/worse situation?

Well, yeah I did my phone interview last Thursday, found out today I passed it. Have to wait till early July it said to see if I get called up to that experience day thing..

I had mine last Friday and found out today I passed it too. Do you have an idea of what would happen on the experience day?

I just got the email about the assessment day. Says its on the 18th and I'm one of the 72 people selected! Really excited and nervous! Anyone else heard back?

You too Don't know really, says there is stuff to do on the day and a group task. Be tough enough I'd say. Think I read somewhere about having to do a presentation too..

Oh okay. Mine was on Wednesday and I have sort of given up by now. Should get the call soon enough!

@ he_man_rugger: were you expecting to be hired based on your performance during the experience day? I'm just wondering if you felt it had gone well and were surprised, I'm finding it very hard to judge how well the day actually went.

Three in my class went for it, one got it. He got a call this morning, myself and the other guy got calls later saying PFO. That's what I'm basing it on, sorry to be the bringer of bad news.

I felt it went quite well, I didn't get the people in the group aspect around to my point of view but felt my points were strong and I argued them well. The person who led the option that won was really a case of shouting the loudest, although I felt the points made by them were weak/commercially naive... however perhaps I didn't take over the conversation as I should have, who knows. Was told I'd get a call later about feedback.

Yeah, while my group ended up choosing the option I went for, I found it really difficult to get a word in edgeways. A couple of people definitely dominated and in some cases, went off on a tangent about things that weren't really relevant at all. I'd say it would have been the group element that brought me down, which is a shame because I thought the individual interviews went well.

Sorry, bit of a brain fart there! There's no indication on the Taleo page about whether or not I've been successful. It just says "Application Status: Interview Process".

Do either of yours say anything different?

Mine says the same, but the update date says today's date so they did make the decision already I'm thinking.

I got the call this morning i was told they cant offer me the job, but if someone pulls out then I will be offered it. Still a waiting game

Yeah I got the same old 'you're on the reserve list if someone pulls out' one. Fairly disappointed.

Similar to others I reckon the one on ones went ok but the group was the decider! Hopefully the 20 offered places all have found other jobs since Thursday and turn it down!

Yeah same, I was really happy with how they went, and have a lot of experience in the industry and was really banking on it. Setting myself up for a let down :P Theres still hope

Ah yeah maybe but I'd say the likelihood of one or two turning it down is low enough!

Sorry to hear about all the PFO's, it is not easy as a graduate these days, all I'll say is just make sure you get all the feedback you can, it proves invaluable the next time youre at an assessment centre, the first group assessment I did I failed, but the 2nd one was with Vodafone last year and I passed so I know first hand that the feedbackk] from these things is very very useful... Best of luck to you all in your future endeavours... PS for those on the waiting list, I turned down the offer last year, as did at least one other, so don't think its impossible...

Yeah I heard some people turned it down, so still holding onto some hope, I love this industry dont want to leave it. Did you turn it down straight away ?

I hope they are doing it this week cos I really want to know , don't like waiting. I'm assuming they call us back to tell us we didn't get it , and we get feedback anyway ?

I was told on the phone on Monday someone would be back to me later that day with regards to organising feedback... needless to say that didn't happen.

I got an email from some guy called Daniel and he gave me a feedback slot on Monday the 6th. I think they will get in touch with everyone soon

I figured they'd be calling this week but no I dont think we'll hear anything about not getting it from reserve list - I think we'll just realise that when we haven't heard anything in 3 weeks! But I'll let you know

No not yet, I think they've probably all accepted. I didn't even get an email about the feedback! But I work in VF here in Mountainview so I'll see if I can get in touch with someone to organise it!
