My Parts took five days to get here

An entire rig with lots of other stuff took 8 days in total for me, if you're ordering parts it might be even quicker, very fast delivery time from Germany

Thanks do they send all the parts together ie. in the one package. or each separately

I'm awaiting my package too, I ordered today , I'm crazy excited.

My friend said his package arrived together in 3 different boxes, one for the case, one for the monitor and all the other parts were in the other one.

One box for case and another for parts

They don't update the DHL website very well.
Mine told me it was in Koln for a few days as well, and then one day I got home and it was there, the DHL website said it was in Dublin and didn't change to delivered for another few days.

Posted this in another thread but I sent the money to them on friday via online bank transfer and have no received nothing to tell me that they got the money. Should I be worried yet or wait a few more days?

Transfers take about 2-3 days. I was lucky and got it done in 2 last week, but normally it's 3 (I'm with BOI)

As long as it's not Ulster Bank :pac:

    Hahaha no, Im with BOI.

Well that was efficient. They had my money by friday morning, they shipped it out on friday evening, and I got it today. DHL tracking says it's stuck in a processing centre so don't trust that. Just thought I'd post my delivery experience cos I was searching for other peoples a few days ago.

Just wondering, how long does it take an item (in general) that's out of stock to get delivered. I know it says unknown on the website but in your general experience.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 153 ✭✭DaleHyland

I got mine today too, can't build it until tomorrow. It was like Christmas morning when I saw the two packages.

What parts are you worried about? I'm just finishing up mine.

The ASrock extreme 4 is one sexy thing. Love the colors (compared to the brown/blue I'm used to), and the fact that I have a button to turn it on! Ahh this is beautiful :D

Sent money yesterday and the woman in the bank said they would get the money by friday...!!!@? She said it was standard practise that it would take a full business week! I don't why it can't be instant like paypal :[. Put a bit of a dampening on my excitement because I was hoping they would ship it this week but it's not looking good! Still excited. I lied I'm definitely still excited. I'm so excited.

By friday doesn't mean it will happen on Friday. It could happen on any day up until Friday too.

Got an email today from hardwareversand telling me they had no yet received my payment... and that I have two days for it to get to them before the cancel the order. Replied and just told them I had sent the payment and that it would be in their interest to hold my order until it gets there. If I have to re-order and go through the bother of getting my money back, I won't be a happy bunny

Are you with ulster bank? If you are Im sure you're aware of all the difficulties they've been having lately so that could be it.

I nearly made that mistake. They won't be able to conduct a bank transfer until late next week or so I was told. Might just take the money out and set up a bank account with BOI.

The pre builds seem to have a big edge in terms of gxf cards not that I am a big pc gamer but seem better for my money overall.

Edit: If some one wants to suggest a good desktop sub 500 id be all ears as I am without a pc at the moment and specs of desktop vs laptops vs prices are favouring laptops which I do not want tbh.

BOI, I'm not too bothered about them cancelling it actually because there are a few things I may change now, still it getting here sooner would be nice

Download a windows iso and install from there. You can get your 90 day trial and then activate when you get your license key

Also, I was thinking about going into the bank today to make sure the money had gone through, but I think I'll just leave it, and see what has happened by Monday. If my order is cancelled and then my money goes through I hope they send it back right away. Wouldn't mind being able to change my order though, I can get better ram cheaper elsewhere since ordering. Them cancelling my order could lose them the guts of 300 quid when I re-order. Not my problem though :D.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,294 ✭✭✭✭MadYaker

Did anyone have their shipments arrive in parts? I got the screen and case today but none of the other components. Did this happen to anyone else?

How do I get the Windows ISo, do I have to download it on my laptop and put it on a disc?

I ordered from Hardwareversand on the 17th of June and one of the items in my order the case said it had a 7 day wait for shipping while everything else was in stock, I ordered it anyway as I specifically want this certain case.

    http://www1.hardwareversand.de/Desktop/43464/Silverstone+SST-ML03B+Milo+Desktop+-+black.article

I placed the order and paid €730 via paypal despite the higher fees as the last time I "wired" money to Germany the whole thing was a disaster and it took the receipient three weeks to receive the funds thanks to BOI making a mess of it. Needless to say I picked Paypal due to it being quicker and the security element of it.

Last Sunday I got an email from Hardwareversand,
    Dear Sir (s),
Thank you for your order with hardwareversand.de .

    Your Order Code: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The manufacturer did not communicate to the expected date for delivery of the ordered article (HV203SVUDE) SilverStone Milo ML03 - desktop. We will deliver the article immediately after arrival.

If you want to receive article on alternative or cancel your order, please send us an email to shortlist.
When I ordered it said a 7 day wait and this is their bloody problem not mine, the same case is available from other suppliers but it is €25 more expensive. As far as I'm concerned Hardwareversand should buy it from elsewhere and ship it to me if their supplier can't get them the part on time.

I have heard nothing since from them and wouldn't so much mind if they said OK we will get your stuff to you by the middle of July or whatever so I'd know where I stand.

    Not a happy hardwareversand camper.

    Thanks,

Not sure about email, but there's an update when each process is complete on your page on the website (payment accepted, goods ready to be shipped, goods left for shipping, goods arrived etc). When UPS take the delivery from them you'll find a tracking code on HWVS's website to use on UPS's website.

It takes about 3 days from when the goods leave HWVS.

My advice, order from a site that deals in euros based in a country with a lower VAT rate such as Germany and wait the extra couple of days for delivery :pac:

Course he has a point, 1 percent vat diff. Could potentially save you thousands:rolleyes:

On a build that's a couple of hundred euros!!!

Well the combination of the reduced VAT rate and the currency conversion charges of going £ to € could potentially save you some amount of money anyway.. not important for some people I guess :pac:

Yes you have a point, but I believe when it under a threshold the difference will be minimal based on the fact its only a small number

^newegg.com and ncix.com are the two you hear all the time for US stores.

Always compare the prices. Hardwareversand isn't always the cheapest and you need to add the €30 delivery rate to your order. For the upgrade I'm going to order now scan.co.uk is cheaper than hardwareversand and has all the bits in stock. I've also found scan.co.uk easier to deal with if you need to call them up for any reason.
