I was just wondering what I could add to a protein shake to add more protein.. I am already adding peanut butter.. has anyone ever tried blending oats with it?

Anyone ever hear of SNS 100% whey protein???

Frozen banana always works great, it makes it cold and nice and creamy. It make such a big difference when its frozen.

I also blend alittle oats in, also good.

I recommend Dymatize for protein powders.

Do you mean more flavour, or more protein? the shakes will be about as high as you get protein wise.

I used to mix strawberry protein powder with cold milk and porridge oats, it is kind of like a thick yogurty dessert.

I also mixed unflavoured protein with strawberry jelly and let it set, its sort of like a mousse.

Whey protein is probably the cheapest source of protein your gonna find. One scoop is what 20 grams or there abouts ? Your not gonna find anything with 20 grams of protein that comes remotely close to the cost of one scoop protein let alone cheaper.

Buy it in bulk from bulkpowders or one of those places.

How about having a boiled egg or two on the side? - One egg will give you about 7.5gm of protein.

Something I've been trying out recently: "seeds for cereal" (from either Aldi or Lidl - about €2.75 for 7 servings). Adding one serving of this to my shake gives me about 6-7 gms of protein along with 4.5gm of fibre - which helps with making the wind less offensive ... :D
