it is spring powered with an m249 style hop up - not the allen key adjustable hop up in most a&k svds

there is gas/c02 kits available for the svd-s on the web also.

the motor is part of the gearbox in an m249 - there is no gearbox with this m249, they are a standard aeg motor and should be easy to find. or you can get a gearbox kit on the web which includes the motor.
