.....such as the one on the irish lifting website or in the Argos. Anyone used on of these in an apartment? Was thinking about getting one but not sure what it would do to the walls as they are not the strongest I would imagine.

Check the width of your doors!
Some appartments have narrow doors which are too small for some of the doorway gyms.

Can you use these on stud walls? I have one and used it on concrete supported doorframes but was afraid to try it on this currently leased 1st floor apartment in case it took the doorframe and wall out of it.

Anyone who has? No guesses thanks. I'm a good guesser myself ;-)

I use one on doorways with stud walls. Seems pretty solid. I haven't had any issues. House seems reasonably well built though!

I've used them on stud walls without hassle too. They are very handy but not all are suitable for wide grip pull ups.http://www.fruugo.ie/door-gym-with-ab-straps/p-1595064 I've no experience with these type but they look most suitable if you are using a doorway gym to replace a real gym.
