    Tough year on societies.

    Cant see there being a bar on campus until the next academic year.

    Totally ridiculous. I got a look at the centre bar before they started the new construction work - it had been virtually untouched from the building of the New Student Centre. They could have had it reopened in 10 working days, and with a budget of several thousand euro they could have given it a bit of a sprucing up to boot (it needed it). Yeh - even the bridge between the old and new student centre hadn't damaged it - in fact one of the walls of the upstairs bar had become the window of the bridge! It was actually pretty cool.

    You could say that the Centre Bar didn't really have the capacity for a campus the size of UCD - but that's a fuk load better than no bar at all! :mad:

    Habe you seen it since they started though? They could have just reopened it, but then they started doing extensive renovation. Now that they're halfway through that, it'll be a lot harder to get it open.
