Does this really make a difference. Trying to lose a bit of weight etc. and Im going ok.

For example my diet today was

    Breakfast
2 Weetabix and Low Fat Milk

    Dinner
Salad (2 slices of turkey, lettuce, peppers, coleslaw, potatoe salad, cucumber, pasta

    Snacks
    Benecol Stawberry Drink
    Banana
    Danacol Strawberry Drink
    Apple
    2 Special K Bars.

Didnt have the dinner until about 9.30 and had an apple around 11.

Total amounts to 1200 calories. I also cut the lawn today which was a decent bit of exercise and also had a really hard training session. Is it all about calories or should I avoid snacking late at night.

it doesn't matter what time you eat at during the day/night.

You should also probably eat a little bit more, 1200 calories is fairly low.

Without knowing the OPs size, you can't really say if it's low or not.

IMHO what you listed is not exactly a healthy diet. Not as bad as some I have seen but still...

It is lacking in Protein and healthy fats IMHO and you could do with finding alternatives to the coleslaw, potato salad, weetabix & special K bars tbh.

An alternative might look something like

Breakfast: 30g oats with some mixed seeds and a small amount of mixed nuts and maybe some mixed berries for sweetness, with milk (like a home made museli) and a hard boiled egg or 2.

An Omega 3 fish oil supplement and a multivit ;)

Lunch: Salad with Chicken, Turkey, Beef Salmon etc, mixed leaves, peppers, onion, spring onion, grated carrot, Cherry tomatoes, walnuts etc

    Dressing Examples:
    Olive oil & lemon juice,
Olive oil, lemon juice and finely sliced red chilli
    Olive oil, balsamic vinegar
Olive oil, balsamic vinegar & fresh ginger (Make a few hours before required and remove ginger before dressing salad)
Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, ginger & 1/2 clove of garlic (make a few hours before required and remove ginger & garlic before dressing salad)

Dinner: Grilled or baked Chicken, turkey, beef, slamon etc, with some steamed green veg or stirfry veg (no pasta, rice, potatoes etc required)

Put 2-3 oz of butter in a dish, finely chop up a clove of garlic and 2 spring onions and add to the butter. Cover with film and place it microwave for 2 minutes to melt, then spoon over meat and steamed veg.

    Snacks (if required)
    Cottage cheese with some berries
Spoonful or two of nut butter (peanut, cashew, almond etc)
    Small amount of mixed nuts
Eggs in one of their many forms
1 or 2 small pieces of fruit

You could eat like this and still make your calorie requirements and you will notice that there is little to no processed foods here. Just wholesome, healthy and tasty food :)

Well my breakfast yesterday happened to be at 1 o clock. I was working until 6 then so had a few snacks after that.
