If you have never used unflavoured before it will be quite a bit different imo.

Perhaps opting for a flavoured version would be better?

If trying to save a few €'s then a mix is a good idea flavoured and unflavoured.

Bulkpowders.co.uk is another option. I recommend choc and choc cookiees.

What I do is buy a 5kg bag of the unflavoured stuff and then grab a couple of jars of the flavdrops they sell http://www.myprotein.com/ie/products/flavdrops

That way if I get bored of one flavour I'm not stuck with a huge bag, they last for ages too.

Tesco do Nutri 1st Whey Protein for €25 per tub (2kg I think) I know it's not a "brand" like myprotein.com or any of these other places, but if you're only starting out it might do you?

It would be 1kg for the €25.00.

Not in every Tesco or is it? I thought just in the bigger ones?

I've seen in the north but not yet in the south.

See price comparison at http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=77909757#post77909757 (prices might have changed a bit since then, doesn't include promotions, etc.)

    €53 for 5kg.

Just ordered from them and having trouble with delivery.

Their email support is not their when you have a problem. They are meant to give you a tracking code for courier which they didn't for me and the courier dpd apparently came but never left a note to say so I'm waiting 9 days for my package it's meant to come tomorrow so hopeful. Getting through to them is a nightmare, this is my first experience with them.

I got repeatedly ignored by them when I had an issue so now I use either bulkpowders or iron science

Can't say I've ever had a problem anytime I've used them. Delivery was quick as well.

That sounds like an issue with DPD as much as myprotein.

Bulkpowders and ironscience ship via DPD aswell if I'm not mistaken?

The last few orders havn't had the tracking code. Same thing happened my mate and after four days from dispatch he rang DPD who told him it was in their depot.

I get mine delivered to work to avoid this.

Yeah just checked there. It went up today. €82 + €5 delivery for 5kg of flavoured WPC. Could get a 10lb bag of Kinetica for cheaper or pay a little more for a bag of ON. Both would be next day delivery.

Was there any notice of this increase?

UK pricing appears to be the same.

Seems like just yesterday. True Whey went up again. It's just under €50. Why buy True Whey when I can buy ON for same price?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,800 ✭✭✭The Guvnor

    Why not buy it?
ON only has digestive enzymes - this has probiotics as well so therefore a superior product.
