Garage ceiling - Plasterboard

Hi,
I have build a garage with an office upstairs.
I was going to insulate the ceiling of the garage and plasterboard it to keep the heat up in the office but someone said that it was bad to plasterboard due to damp reasons.
The shed is cavity block with no insulation.

What are the thoughts?

Install a vapour barrier to the warm side of garage ceiling. And use mineral wool insulation and double plaster b layer

As regards the cavity block wall, If you dryline consider where the condensation due point will be - that's the point of a vapour barrier: keep the internal generated moisture out of the wall structure, so it doesn't condense where the cold block meets the insulation possibly leading to mould etc

It might be worth checking the moisture levels of the block in the garage to see what the dpc is like

Whether your heating the office will also be a factor, as will how you intend to ventilated it.

Yop, you talking about the ceiling of the first floor, or the roofspace of the garage??

Ceiling in the garage, the floor upstairs is sheeted in MDF, underlay and carpet.
