Hi All. I know this has been covered in stickies etc. but I can't figure out what is correct. I'm 28 male and 14 and a half stone would like to drop about half a stone as a start.

Mfp says my goal for the day is 1650 cals and I've found that doable, and in fact I seem to be coming in under that. However what is confusing me is according to the sticky and other threads I should be aiming for 2500 to maintain my weight so 2000 for weight loss?

    What is the correct figure?
If I'm finding 1650 ok going should I stick with it or is that too low?
Ps forgot to say computer based job so not active in work but do train twice a week and play for rugby

    With no activity multiplier added.

BMR to maintain your current weight = 2011 cal
BMR to get to your goal weight = 1880 cal

    With Activity multiplier of 1.2

BMR to maintain your current weight = 2413 cal
BMR to get to your goal weight = 2256 cal

These are more realistic for a 6ft male :)

1650 is way too low for a six foot male. Stick to the caluculated BMRs and the stickies.
