Question about Caesin.

    Hello,

When I started weightlifting, I was guzzling down lots of milk to help bulk up. I noticed that I got a lot more spots around my chin and nose, so i decided to stop eating dairy altogether. My skin totally cleared up and now i dont eat dairy at all.

Im thinking of getting caesin protein to drink at night time. My question is since caesin is from milk, Could it cause the spotty reaction that dairy gave me before?

If anybody has any experience taking caesin i would like to here about it.

    Thanks,
    Sacco

The question is why do you feel the need to use casein before bed?

Well during the day i eat a good mix of protein like chicken, eggs, tuna, smoked salmon, mince, nuts and so on. But at night id like to have something handy like a caesin shake. Im also reading things that say cottage cheese / caesin are good at night because they are "slow release", this could be marketing waffle though i guess.

Do you think any form of meat / fish protein would do and just to forget about the caesin?

    Thanks

Just focus on hitting your protein for the day that's more important then slow release protein overnight.

    Can you expand on this?

My viewpoint is its more important to hit your total protein intake for the day then worry about casein supplementation (unless it allows you to hit your macros).

Why? The OP said they don't want to drink milk

I think ill just get it, and test it out. The reaction is fairly quick (spots in a day or 2) if I drink even a small amount of milk so I should be able to tell early on with the caesin. Ill let ye know anyhow.

    Thanks for the replies.
