What am I missing?

Ok so I was a dedicated gym user. But it got too expensive and had to stop in Feb, now I cant seem to lose weight at all..... Eating right, using a cross trainer at home, and doing plenty of floor work. Will be investing in a kettle bell later today :D

So what am I missing? How can I maximize my workouts to lose weight and inches?

Also is there anyone in the Dublin 8 area that would be interested in going to bootcamps and or jogging in the evenings. I figure a partner will make me more likely to stay dedicated?

    Help :)

In these cases, it's almost always diet.

What's a typical days eating look like?

Either a gluten free seed and fruit bar for breakfast or an egg.
Lunch is either gluten free ready made lunch (average 200 cals)
or chicken and salad and gf roll
    Dinner pretty much the same
    Snacks Rice cakes and fruit.

I use myfitnesspal and most days stay on my target of 1200 cals (Im short).
Only let downs is alcohol which I have decided to cut out completely now.

    Sounds like a Tuesday :)
    What do Friday/Saturday/Sunday look like?

Pretty much the same. Unless there's a Chinese thrown in. But shouldn't f up my whole week right? I've lost 4lbs and now nothing for weeks. It's maddening. And no inch loss

What do you drink during the day?

Coffee with skimmed milk. Diet Coke.

You'll need to tell us what you order in the chinese to get accurate answers here.

I know its mad, but its not hard to order and eat 2000 calories of chinese takeaway in one sitting(and thats not including the duck and fried rice you have for breakfast the next day!).
But shouldn't f up my whole week right

Certainly could. Redistribute the above takeaway over the previous 7 days, and you add almost 300 calories per day. Thats the equivalent of 2 pints per night.

I love chinese food too, so can I suggest you learn to cook it. After preparing a decent feast of chinese food, not only will the general calorie count be less, but you'll also be too knackered to eat all of it. It takes way more energy to make a satisfying chinese dish than it does to call Mr Lee's Chinese Surprise.

So one decent chinese and your week is blown? I find that hard to believe, sure if its all based on redistribution of calories im just going to eat everything on Monday and nothing for the rest of the week!! and if i redistribute all mondays calories to the other 6 days...job done???

    Define decent.

If you eat a meal with tons of calories, I mean 1-2000 calories, and you swallow it, where do you think it goes? It doesn't disappear.

If the body doesnt need it it stores it as fat. So next week the OP must work off the fat he stored at the weekend, before he even touches what he has already.

In theory that's how it works. Fat loss doesn't happen on a day to day basis.

In reality, you won't be able to apply it that way for long enough because you'll end up too hungry, slip up, cheat when you're not supposed to and still eat your chinese and drink your pints anyway.

Very easy to consume a daily 500 calorie deficit on weekdays and then over consume 2,500 calories on the weekend and wonder why you are not losing weight. I should know. I did it long enough :o

I really should wait and see what the OP is drinking!!

Then the key is don't cheat. Build a diet that works for you so you don't need to cheat.

Cheat meals (I prefer the term free meals) do offer psychological benefits if you're cutting calories for a while.

An acceptable cheat meal for a short girl who's aiming for 1200 cals/day is going to be completely different than one for some 100kg dude looking to cut some weight. 2000 calories could easily wipe out most of the week's deficit.

Does the short girl know what an appropriate cheat meal size is?

I'd usually have chips chili chicken and a curry sauce. Kinda thinking I'd rather cook it now hahaha planned Saturday in advance so I'm making skinny chili now.
Alcohol would be wine 3/4 bottle or vodka and diet coke.
