Peoples Photography 2012

Just a gentle reminder to people to start thinking about Peoples Photography this year. Dates are 25th & 26th August and as usual Boards will (probably) have some spots reserved.

Yes this is the official list as Mr. G who kindly looked after this for the past couple of years is busy and can't do it. I shall try fill his shoes. There is a committee meeting tomorrow night so I should have some more info then.

I assume that camera clubs (Like DCC) will still be doing "bulk" reservations this year - I went through them last year?

Yep, they sure will. Nothing will change from previous years. This thread is just for the Boardsies. I'll be going along with Navan Camera Club again but we'll be beside Boards.

It's up to you who you want to go with and what is more important to you..lots of people due to being closer to Grafton Street, windy and horses behind you...or less people but sunny side of the green and fun...;):cool:

But won't that cause burnout and difficult metering with the dappled sunlight? Much better to have a nice, diffused shade with lots of tourists sheltering from the sweltering heat of the Irish sun

Hang on - I remember last year - it rained every 30 minutes and the streets emptied - there were more togs than punters - my deckchair seat split and I ended with my ass on the ground and my legs and arms in the air.

Why do I think this year will be different?

It's working now. There was a problem with connection to the database and i got only generic error instead of correct content.

The countdown has begun. I now have 13 spaces booked for Boardsies. (List to follow). The payment details will be available shortly and the rules are as follows;

1. We do not speak of Peoples Photography

2. Pay and Display

3. No Pay - No Display

4. Terms and Conditions apply.
Peoples Photography is licensed by the Central Bank. The value of your pictures may go up or go down. Either way, P&B will not be out of pocket and he has a very big gun.

It was dropped to €20 last year and it will remain the same this year. Full details will appear shortly along with the application form and where to send payment etc.

The application forms are now available on the website.

So here's the deal for Boards.

Fill in the application form and write your boards name across the top of it. Enclose the fee (€25) and send it to the PO Box number.

Remember, this is a Pay & Display event - No Pay - No Display.

There is NO Paypal option - the ONLY payment option is cheque/postal order as per application form.

Fingers out and get moving as time is slipping by quickly.

Just gone through the post and ZERO applications or payments from any Boards members so guys, you need to get your fingers out. There are loads of new people who haven't exhibited before looking for our spot so if we lose it it's gone forever.
Fill in the form and enclose your payment within the next few days.

The Northside of the Green is now full and more and more people are looking to get the spot we have so at this point we are just about hanging onto our pitch. I can't stress it enough - you need to get your form and money in to secure your place. Just putting your name down on the list here is not good enough. Only those paid up will get to exhibit.
