As the title suggests this will be a golf log, most of my bets will be on Betfair for obvious reasons..

I'm quite sick of losing money on football bets, so I'm going to concentrate on golf and see if I can be profitable long term..

This will obviously give me long losing streaks, but I hope the value available in golf betting will make up for that and then some..

I will most likely put up my first bets Wednesday night/Thursday morning..

thanks, but sorry if you or anyone else loses money over my log..
I'm really still trying to learn, so I wouldn't advise big bets if anyone decides to follow any bets I pick..

Think I'll follow you with small stakes too. Always liked having a bet on golf because you get good value both on prices and the length of interest you potentially get. Was always crap at picking them though, so stopped doing it. Now is as good a time as any to start again when you're willing to do the dirty work!!

    Best of luck.

I edited the title for you David. Best of luck with the log, so long as it doesn't clash with my golf bets of course :p

I really didn't want to wake up to Westwood shooting a 64 :(

He was probably the obvious choice before it started, but at best price 6/1 before things even got started I wanted to take him on..

  • Registered Users Posts: 586 ✭✭✭FANTAPANTS

if you have a spare 5e/w throw it on Robert Karlsson 66/1 at min 2 over but runner up last few years and likes it their

A return of €11.25 for the Nordea masters thanks to Peter Hanson..
It would be nice if Johnson could get a place in the St. Jude to limit this weekends losses..

  • Registered Users Posts: 240 ✭✭daviddunne1992

Dustin Johnson you beautiful man :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 240 ✭✭daviddunne1992

a loss of €5.50 for the weekend, which in the end was a relief for me cause Jim fell apart towards the end.

Bubba Watson Finished tied for 2nd 1 shot away from taking it to a play off, very frustrating :(

I also expected Siem to at least get himself into contention this weekend on the European tour..

    -€8.75

  • Registered Users Posts: 240 ✭✭daviddunne1992

it's looking like the worst week so far for the log.. back to picking my own for next week I think

I'm still in profit however, up to a total of €25.20, not very impressive but I'm enjoying the log so far

****ing sick that Siem decides to win the week I dont back him

A lousy return of €13.34 for the French Open.. I was very surprised that Poulter didn't manage to get closer than being tied for 4th

  • Registered Users Posts: 240 ✭✭daviddunne1992

-€24.66 for the weekend.. thanks Webb
the overall profit for the log was almost completely wiped out by disastrous final rounds from Webb Simpson and Ian Poulter

I will carry on though as it's a long term game and I'm still trying to learn

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,570 ✭✭✭MyStubbleItches

Keep the chin up. I can feel your disgust with Siem, that's really sickening.

Put it behind you, you're still doing quite well here IMO.
