Hi I was just looking for some advice Im about 5'4" and a size 6 to 8 and I have started a new desk job (I never did much exercise as I am quite slim so never much of an incentive) and Im starting to slowly put a bit of weight on which I like putting on and want to keep but want to tone up and just improve my fitness in general.

Whats the best way of toning up without losing the weight also i suffer with back pain and was told strengthening the muscles might help alot what exercises would be best for that

I would appreciate any help with this!

    Hi
One thing I would suggest you do is a Pilates course which is great for strengthening your core and will help with weak back muscles.
You could aim to do a 30 min walk 3 times a week to get you into a routine and then could look at jogging after a while if that interests you?
    Best of luck
