I'm looking for ideas/locations for a quick healthy substantial snack in Dublin CC that would compliment a muscle gain program.

Basically a healthy alternative to the Big Mac in under 10 minutes.

    Thanks.

For building muscle, you need protein as well as a high calories intake. To get these calories you'll need carbs and fats.

A chicken salad in low fat dressing is a great light and healthy option, but its virtually useless for somebody on a bulk diet. A big mac would be far better tbh. I'm not suggesting that you eat burgers everyday. But no harm occasionally, you have to meet your needs. A good option would be something based around meat/protein. I'm not sure whats available in Dublin these days, but something like Nandos would be ideal.

When I forget my lunch, I usually go to m&s.
I only have 30 mins for my lunch and I generally don't eat processed carbs so I usually buy one of their fuller for longer chicken salads and a fruit salad if I want something sweet and bring it back to work.

The only problem is they are expensive and have a lot of ingredients. Still better than maccy D 's though.

I really wish there was a quick healthy take away place in Dublin CC.

What type of foods would you like to see on the menu?

    God under pressure now :)

But I suppose more interesting salads, rather than the usual lettuce, tomato cucumber. More things like avocado, seeds, spiced chicken. I love hot chicken salads with tandoori flavouring. Yum.

Proper homemade soups, veg and cous cous dishes, bean dishes, basically food that doesn't evolve around bread but is still filling (and warm would be a bonus).

Nude used to have some good options in the early days.

if you want to take a trip up the IFSC area there is a salad bar MYO just beside NCI college.
    Would highly recommend it.

I Go there most weekdays, not sure if it opens weekends but basically it has all kind of meats, salad/veg selections, sauce selection, wraps, breads , baked potatoes, soups.
and the best part is you make up your own, so you can add as much meat or veg/salad as you want to either a salad bowl or bread/wrap/potato :)
