Weights and cardio(swim)

    Hey everyone,

    been out of the fitness thing for a while but i'm using the summer to get back into shape. im going to do a mix of weights and swimming for cardio but just wondering if it's ok to do both on the same day? if not how should i plan my regime?

    Are you using the weights sessions to get stronger for swimming? Or are you just trying to get fitter? If you want to do both on the same day, do a good strength program first and then do sprint or interval training in the water (just like running or rowing). Otherwise split them up as swimming is generally an hour long activity so both on the same day would be too much imo.
