I've been reading her.ie's Facebook page -it's a sister site to joe.ie launching at the start of July. There's some really funny stuff there, they seem like a good bunch of girls, and I'm looking forward to the launch. It got me thinking, what do women in Ireland read online? For me the order would probably be:

    1) Twitter
    2) Boards
    3) Buzzfeed/TechCrunch/Brainpicker links people post on twitter
    4) Showbiz guilty pleasure stuff at sky news, Daily Mail (:o :p)
    5) Guardian *pious face*

Other than the showbiz, most of that isn't particularly 'womany', which is cool either way, but I feel like I might be missing something. So what do ye read online, Ladies' Lounge? And what do ye think of her.ie? It'll be interesting to see how they do.

boards, irish times, slashdot are my most common ones

I don't know what to think of her.ie? all it says is "all an irish woman could want and cake"?

Yeah, that sounds pretty stupid. I laughed at a lot at their Facebook status updates but they're mainly memes and funny pictures aggregated from elsewhere.

    Reddit

Daily Mail purely for the sidebar of shame.

Gaurdian, great mix of news stories, tv radio, books culture and lifestyle pieces.Good interviews too

    Cute overload/lolcats

    Hellogiggles

    Tiny Buddha

    Twitter

There's loads more, but that's all I can think of at the mo.

Sidebar of shame, I love it. Ooh a few I haven't heard of there, thanks. Something to amuse myself of a quiet (hungover) Saturday night.

Jezebel is just great. Really interesting articles with a little bit of a feminist slant.

STFU parents is a smart mouth site making fun of new parents and how they take over FB with all loads of crap about their kids that no one cares about.

Cracked.com is fekn hilarious and wonderfully weird. If you love random Top 10 lists you'll like it.

Is it just me or does anyone else love to hate food network?? It's such trash, especially that douchbag Guy Fieri. Here's a site dedicated to tearing it apart. food network humour

There's an amazing amateur photography site that I love Pictory. It gives a theme every few weeks like small town, something to write home about, pets, best friends whatever... and people enter submissions and a little paragraph about it. Really uplifting/ inspirational and great to see life through someone else's eyes.

I spend most of my time online reading fashion or beauty related blogs or here, on boards.
