sorry for all the questions in the last few weeks i just want to make sure im getting this right im on a low carb diet and am eating the proper amount of protein 1g per 1lb and my daily intake is like this,,,total calories 1450,,,, protein 186grams,,,,, carbs 71grams ,,,,,,and fats 55grams now that seems a bit low to me for total calories and i have been eating the nuts but i could eat them all day and they are hugely high in calories so i was thinking maybe 4 tablespoons of peanutbutter during the day which would add 360 calories 16 extra grams protein 8 grams carbs and 30grams fat mostly good fat thats an 1810 total there or there abouts .i got a small tub today for the first time ever just the cheap supermarket crap but a tablespoon is much more filling than a bag of pistachios or almonds well i think anyway what ye think ?good bad or indifferent my fitness plan says i need 2740 a week for maintain weight, since i started on 13th may ive lost 4kg which happened in the first week i pressume water loss i am now 86kg 6ft1 male

probably better to stick to the peanuts by themselves
about 20% more protein & 20% less saturated fat (iirc)
and with peanut butter there's always the temptation to buy something with lots of carbs in it to spread it on.

Natural peanut can be nice while low carbing. Spoonful into the mouth can curb most cravings

I love peanut butter but be careful because most of the cheap stuff is laced with quite a bit of added sugar. I use the Kelkin band which isn't the cheapest but the most natural IMO.

Buy it on myprotein.co.uk, only about €6 for 1kg and it's 100% peanuts. Always curbs my cravings!

It's made from 85% to 100% peanuts. So the protein and fat content isn't going to be that much different to plain peanuts. 100% pure peanut butter will be exactly the same.

100% peanut butters are the best. But its not a big a deal as people make out. Even if its 10% sugar and oil, this is only 2.5g out of a 25g spoonful. This 2.5g isn't the concern with anyone diet.

I'm not a huge fan of nut butters in general, full of omega 6 (that isn't protected as the hull of the nut has been removed) and I've met too many people who overeat them.

I think a better choice would be a piece of high-quality cheese (the stronger the better - discourages over consumption)
