Seems to be tough enough out there with -3 leading and a certain Mr. Woods only 1 shot back.
Luke is finished his round also on -1, while Rory came back from a quadruple bogey 7 on his 3rd hole the 12th to shoot 71 also. Nice come back from him.

Hard to look past Donald again this week although Big Bubba will be out later on.

Good result for McIlroy, having been +4 after 3 holes. Keeps himself in contention

Have seen none of it yet, but that does sound like a decent comeback. Lets hope he gets his s.hit together now and pushes on

Super back 9 by Rory, if it wasnt for that damn quad bogey on 12 he would be leading, to come back from a quad like that and shoot -4 for the next 9 shows real heart to be fair. have full confidence in him tmrw!!

What is your problem with Dermot McElroy? Leave the kid alone

he'll bounce back, he's too good not too.

Glad the hype around him has calmed down now though, it was bordering on ridiculous.

    "better than Woods etc".

On a sidenote, lets go Rickie this weekend. A Fowler/Woods final rd grouping one time.

Unbelievable shot from Tiger. Nicklaus saying it's one of the greatest he's ever seen.

Cracker of a chip by Tiger, great to see the fist pumping back again. Marcel Siem could learn a thing or two about when is an appropriate time to do one.

Hee hee extra dash of sickened for sabbatini

He's just unreal that fella. Now he's enjoying himself again we all get the pleasure of watching a master at his trade.

Anyone know where that will put him in the rankings?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,431 ✭✭✭dvemail

Serious final round from Woods, first time in a while now i felt this was his tournament from the 1st tee in quite a while.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Fabulous finish from Woods. Exceptional chip in at 16.

Strange to see Levin's ball move as he was taking his practice swings. He didn't address the ball but it was strange that it didn't move until he came close to it......probably the wind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Raisins

Feel sorry for Levin. He still has to play 36 hole qualifier tomorrow for the U.S Open. Not easy after a Sunday like that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,759 ✭✭✭Dr.Silly

like him or hate him (I'm personally the former), that round (not just cause of the chip in at 16), will go down as one of the best rounds ever on the pga.

    Phenomenal is an understatement !

    Oh hes back!
I guess his management will be getting a few endorsement offers now, plenty free space on the bag.

Thanks for posting that Ade. Interesting to see Tiger not wearing a glove for the lob shot, didn't notice him not wearing a glove for pitches and chips before. Does he normally just wear the glove for the longer shots and play with his bare hands when more feel is needed ie putter usually?

Hardly any pros wear a glove when chipping.

missed it, anyone got a link?

He's won twice before this year, both times blowing up in his next tournaments-interesting to see if he can follow through to the Open.

Worth watching 5 hours of golf just for that 15 seconds alone.

Best shot ever hit at the Memorial according to Jack. Say what you want about Woods personally but it's great for the game if he gets back to his best again.
