DHT blockers on body hair

I've been working out for a while now and all's going very well so far. Was at the doctor a while ago and had my bloods done because I was losing weight and hair.
Everything came back relatively normal except my testosterone is verging on being high. My doctor seems to think my DHT levels are crazy high because I'm getting hairier all of a sudden. I thought nothing of it but he said if were going to be a hairy guy, I would have started developing that way at puberty not at 18.

Now the only thing hairy about me are my legs and my happy trail that's growing further up to my chest and my beard is coming in strong.
Even then I'm not disgustingly hairy at all, but compared to what I was, it's a big change.
It's not in my genes to have a lot of body hair because my dad and uncles aren't bad on either side that's why he's puzzled.

So that's why I'm looking into DHT blockers to try on prevent hair loss among other things.
BUT! I read that DHT blockers can effect gains but most worryingly, they can significantly dent your sex drive!

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on these blockers and whether or not they're effective?

I took finasteride in my early twenties for hair loss for about a year. It affected my sex drive significantly so I stopped. Everything went back to normal but I lost most of my hair over the years. Fair trade. :) It might affect you differently but I couldn't recommend it anyway.

I've looked into it and it has more side effects than just reduced sex drive, like increased prostate cancer risk as well as possible long term ED issues....
Doesn't seem worth it. I don't want to be 18 with problems like that so young that would just kill me.

My hairline is fine and has actually gotten better in the last few weeks, it's just that I don't want to be losing hair and gaining it where I don't want it as I get older but yeah, I think it's a fair trade off in the end:)
