WWE 13 game thread

I got that TWC game and decided I didn't need to look at the controls, figured I'd work it out as I went. Que Afa Jr beating the piss out of me for nearly ten minutes. Figured out one move near the end and just kept doing that over and over before losing anyway.

Looked at the controls and beat Sim Snuka fairly easily. TNA were interested so gave me a match against Anderson and some other guy. They beat the crap out of me! Handicap matches are impossible compared to WWE games. Went backstage and Lance Storm asked me to wrestle again! Did and Anderson (whom I'm really starting to hate!) destroyed me. Alissa Flash challenged me to a match. Apparently that's my level now

So I had a go of Anarchy Rulz yeaterday and despite the menus looking very dodgy these days, the game itself played pretty well.

The button combos aren't as bad as I thought they'd be and the commentary is pretty good too. The crowd even chant different things despite looking horrendous.

The blood effect is funny too, especially when bleeding from the back of the head, it actually looks like the brain has been exposed or something! Only gripe I have with it is the fact that it's really hard to keep opponents down, they get up way to quickly and are hard enough to beat!

This lead to me playing WCW Mayhem which was pretty decent all around, no major problems with it despite it not looking the best. I did play on an LCD though so they would look better on a CRT TV I'm sure!

Not really, I just have a decent collection of older games that I try to dip into every once in a while. The Smackdown games are more or less all the same so it's nice to mix it up with some of the lesser known titles.

The WCW one that came just before SmackDown was very good, the one that THQ made. Mayhem was the one with Bill Goldberg on the front, wasn't it? That one was quar shockin I thought.

No , you would have to wrestle a list of guys. If you win , then your guy is champ. You would then have to fight that list of guys to get a title match Still a great game. Goldbergs spear was great in it.

Same as any franchise game out there, look at FIFA that game is now evolving at snails pace, if they give the perfect game away this year, what will they have to sell to us next year.

I'd prefer at this stage THQ take 2 years out, make a more well rounded WWE game, perfect it as much as they can and they going forward release DLC updates to the game, that way they can continue making money off the DLC rather than re hashing practically the same game year in year out.

But THQ are never going to do that, the WWE franchise sells well and THQ are in such financial straits they can't afford to take a year off from it.

Wonder if the crowds are good some week and silent the next week, its a pretty weak feature to boast about. I hope when A-Ri turns up it turns into a turn based battle and you try to evolve him into Alex Riley.
